I use a laptop with only 3 usb ports that are constantly full so I got this and I can now fit every I need for now. If I get more usb connecting things I may need to get another. But its working well. Connecting my Bluetooth stuff to it doesn't seem to affect the speed of my Bluetooth items. And any data transferring isn't slow either. Pretty intuitive as I was able to figure it out without a manual. And I like its design that allows me to turn on and off each individual port.

I needed a lot more USB ports. Computer makers seem to be cutting down on how many USB ports you get, in favor of Bluetooth, but I still have plenty of USB devices I need to use. The card-readers built in are a HUGE plus, as I do 3D printing, and they work perfect for the various printers I own. Some use the SD card, and some the TF card. With this, I don't need to put the TF cards into an SD adaptor, which is what I was doing previously, saving me a step. It says in the manual that the ports are 900ma max, but they seem to charge my phone and other devices just fine. Initially, I was running my USB 3 external HDD through it, but started getting errors in my backups, so I have to plug that one directly into the PC. Otherwise, my Brother label printer, phone, car remote chargers, External CD-DVD ROM reader/writer, etc, all run fine through it. Overall, very satisfied with this purchase!

I have 4 USB things plugged into this and my phone is one. It charged 1% in 20 minutes. Moved it to a regular charger, it did 30% in 20 minutes. Other things just don't seem to work, like my camera. Which works find if I plug it directly into my computer. Because the compute is a mini, there are not enough USB ports for all the things I need. Hoped this would be the solution. And while it was a good price and looked good, I wouldn't recommend you get one. I'm going to try to get in touch with the MFG for replacement but I don't hold out much hope. ADDENDUM: Turns out it wasn't this, it was the mini computer. ONce I got Geekom to replace, everything worked. And it works well. So, sorry. It's now okay to purchase!!

As a USB hub, it does the job, however it falls down as a card reader. Specifically, not only does it frequently fail to read cards, but those that it does read are slow as molasses. The included power supply keeps me from worrying about enough power to the ports. I like the convenience of being able to turn off ports without unplugging devices.

UPDATE: It appears that the problems were stemming from a different device. Now the HUB seems to be working fine. Will update if I have problems. For now I've changed it to 5 stars as it wouldn't be fair to leave it at 1. Like many of the other reviews, mine is defective. Sometimes it recognizes USB devices and sometimes it doesn't. When it doesn't, Windows will spam you about how there's a problem with the device. No amount of moving it to different ports, using the USB-C adapter or anything will get it to stop giving you this message. I thought it was just me and I was doing something wrong, but it's not--this thing fails at it's most basic functionality. It's outside of the return window so I get to just throw it in the trash. Really disappointing, it even has a card reader on it which I didn't try out, so maybe that works, but I don't care, I need a working USB 3.0 powered hub!

Works great for me, this device solved a lot of the stability problems that I was having with my hard drives, as I have several, (About 4) plugged into my Mac Mini, and what no one was telling me is that they require a lot of external AC power to run them as they are thirsty, and I used to have all kinds of problems with my old 7-port USB hub, and this solved all of those, plus it was a nice upgrade to USB 3.0, my last one was USB 2.0, and it seems faster overall, but one of my drives still transfers a little slow, not sure why, probably not the fault of this device. I also like the ability to be able to turn on and off each individual port when they are not in use, and to have the small blue LED light to indicate which ones are on and which ones are off. At first I thought that the blue lights might be a small problem as I have this unit in my bedroom and some lights can be too bright when trying to sleep, (you would be surprised at what some manufacturers don't even consider being too bright) at any rate this could easily have been remedied with some black electrical tape to cover them, but alas, it is not a problem for me, as the lights are small enough in diameter that they don't shine too bright and are just right. I am very happy with this purchase.

Product would not work. Power supply cord was dead. I did have a spare of the same size mercifully. However, on testing, the product was stuck in an eternal cycle of connecting and disconnecting. I tried doing various driver updates, including deleting the computer usb drivers entirely and restarting to fresh reinstall them all. Nothing stopped the constant connect/disconnecting. Notably, everything plugged into the extender did not share thos same issue. My keyboard remained constantly on. Returned with the bad power cord that was included. I have a different Wenter device for a different computer that is still working great. Its why I had an extra cable to test with. The usb-C convertor is a nice touch with this product, as well as the micro sd slots. I may attempt this product again in the future as my other Wenter device does not have these features. Hopefully I just got a faulty kit.
