  • Amazing Surge Protector!
This surge protector is heavy and looks durable. My husband says it was easy to hook up and works great. We purchased for our hookup at the RV park and there is no noise and it does the job. There is a dog face that will light up red if there is a problem. I’m not sure if it actually saves power, but you can monitor the power through the blue tooth app. Great purchase. ... show more

  • The guard dog is on the loose!
Love the product so far. Installed the app and put both of my RVs on there. So much helpful information, product is HEAVY DUTY and I feel much better now that both coaches are protected. At night the dog face glows bright white! That is not only beautiful but VERY HELPFUL should I need to do anything around that area in the night time. I would DEFINITELY recommend this product to any RV’er but especially full timers!! ... show more

  • 5th Wheel Fan
Purchased for our 5th wheel upon research and recommendation. Functionality is spot on, easy to install, decent price, and is a solid build. Would recommend to others.

  • Best Surge with EPO and Bluetooth
I did a lot of research when it comes to protecting the electrical system in our RV. You can buy cheaper protectors but they won't offer what this one does. What I like the most: 1. The face of the "dog" lights up white (or whatever color necessary), letting you know the pedestal you are plugged into is good-to-go. It's also the right brightness for a little "nite-light" at the pedestal. 2. One of it's best features is if something is wrong at the pedestal and it fries it, it just fries the chip that is replaceable for less than $50 as opposed to buying a whole new unit. I believe it's the only one of its kind. 3. The Bluetooth is awesome. We have the 50 amp and it breaks down what is going on per line, and I like the total KWH tracker that you can reset whenever you want (see photo). So let me explain what this was able to show day one. We bought a used 5th wheel and had most things inspected. Not everything could be expected because it wasn't fully hooked up during the inspection. Out bedroom ac was acting really weird and with the Bluetooth software, we were able to see the amps spike above 50 when the ac tried to turn on, and it would flip the breakers. With a little bit of YouTube and eventually an rv tech coming for something else, we knew the compressor was shot. It was nice to able to do some troubleshooting with. IMPORTANT - Something you get with this that you don't get with "surge protectors." EMS (electronic monitoring system) is important to have for your rig. Surge protectors will save you from a spike in voltage, but they don't protect you from a surge in amps. Let me explain. If an rv park isn't wired or has enough power to service everyone hooked up, voltage starts to drop. Most rv's want voltage between 103-130. When voltage drops, amps increase. Increase amps is VERY bad for your electrical components. It may not "fry" them immediately, but over time, it wears out parts and components and you don't even realize it. This unit monitors low voltage/high amps and shuts down the electricity to your rv and warns you on the device and in the app, so you can get the pedestal checked out. This is probably one of the most important features that is has and makes it well worth the money. I wouldn't buy any other companyy, because they don't offer what this company offers to protect your rv. They are way cheaper than more expensive models that don't offer what this does. Buy this and you won't be disappointed! ... show more

  • Works exactly as advertised - Great piece of mind knowing you have protection.
Multiple camping friends recommended this. Been RVing all my life and never had an electrical issue but 2 of my friends have. One was the lucky camper to be the first to plug into a pedestal after a 30 to 50 amp campground upgrade, smoked all his RV electrical in their 5th wheel, if he would have had this that wouldn’t have happened. The other had one of these watchdogs and plugged in to a pedestal with a loose leg, it immediately tripped and prevented any potential damage that could have occurred. Still I hesitated with the theory the guy before me tested the pedestal but I’ve shifted my thinking on this due to the replaceable surge protection. My 5th wheel stays plugged in at home and this watchdog protects my electrical if we have brownouts or possibly near by lightning strikes. I also like that it will reset once it detects good power has been restored, we have a dog so its piece of mind knowing if the campground has a brief brownout it will reset which will restore the AC. It’s a bit pricey but it will cost more to repair the RV electrical if it’s ever damaged. Buy it, good piece of mind knowing you have clean power and surge protection. ... show more

  • Does so much more than a simple surge suppresor
For storage my 50amp coach has a 30amp line (With a long 10 gage wire). It's also at the end of a long power company supply grid with both frequent brown outs and wind related shutdowns. So the thing is, any electric equipment hooked to the 120v shore power is subject to the stress of this less than reliable supply. This is a very cost effective power manager in that it will intelligently shut off and resume while in remote unattended use. It's bluetooth capabilities gives a good amp readout as you turn appliances of and on and accumulates your KW use till you reset it manually. It's near impossible to give a certain return on investment, that said anything that will ad lifespan to the RV's components is going to be well worth it. An added feature is the included sacrificial surge suppressor, not only does it notify when its been fried, its also user replaceable that alone is a deal maker over other devices. Installation was a simple plug in line (In my case several pig tails used for both step up and down from a 30amp Hughes auto former). Most installations, Pedestal - Watchdog - Coach you can expect a 1 volt loss per 13 foot of cord. I run a simple indoor volt meter and its about 2 volts lower in readout than the bluetooth app reports. Installations adding the auto former inline, you're advised to go Pedestal- Auto Former-Watchdog-Coach. This will allow the use of the shore power with the added benefit of some extra Volts when the shore power is under strain (More or less any summer day). I had no issue using this as stated with 30 amp supply with the 50 amp Watchdog. The second 120v on the plug simply reads 0V as it should. ... show more
