I have a 30'x40' steel building I use for a work shop. Seems like every time I need a specific tool, I'm on an easter-egg hunt to find which tool box it is in. I thought this rack would be a good way to keep tools I use everyday front and center for easy pickup. The good? It does hold a lot of tools. One end has a screwdriver holder built in that can store about 14 different drivers of various sizes. The other end has a mini pegboard area and 4 peg hooks that are perfect for hammers or wrenches. The two top shelves are quite sturdy and hold a decent number of plastic boxes for sockets or whatever. My only complaint is with the bottom shelf, which has slots to hang your cordless tools (drills, impact wrenches, saws and what not). The shelf has slots for 7 tools, but to make everything fit in a neat little box for shipping, this shelf is in two parts. One end slides into the other to join the parts into a whole and a screw clamps the two pieces together. Unfortunately, this causes the shelf to be a bit weak and once I had more than two cordless tools on it, the shelf began to sag in the middle. Not really that big of a deal, I just used a small piece of wire around the shelf and tied it to the sturdier shelf above. Works like a charm. In fairness if it was hung flat on a wall, you could simply shoot another screw into the wall to support the center of the shelf, but my walls are all steel and sheet metal, so that was out. I really like the compact size and the variety of tools I can keep handy using this storage rack. If it was just a bit sturdier, it would be perfect.

Flat pack furniture is always such a gamble but the threading and material quality on this shelving unit doesn't worry me at all. I'm trusting this thing and the studs it is currently drilled into to hold a lot of weight, and so far it hasn't troubled me at all or shown any signs of wear. I'll report back later, but I'm operating outside of the envelope so to speak and it is holding up for me. Make sure you don't just drywall anchor it though!

I am short on space in my garage for my tools so I got this to hang on the wall and I can put my drills and saws on it. I like to keep my screwdrivers and sockets in my Dewalt stackable boxes but this works great for my 5 drills, circular saw, reciprocating saw, multi tool, and other misc. tools. It does take a little assembly but once put together it is very strong. I highly recommend anchoring to studs and not drywall.

Nice organizer. Well designed. Easy to assemble. Comes with mounting hardware. Nice finish on shelves. Felt like the bottom shelf might not be strong enough with all spaces filled with power tools complete batteries. Bottom rack is two pieces that makes it weaker. One bolt and cap nut hold the two parts together. the fit could be tighter to make the support stronger. Also the bolt is too long so it cannot be tightened. Making it even a sloppier fit. This bolt either needs to be filed/ground down or place a washer under the cap nut. The other two shelves are factory assembled and have bolts and cap nuts installed in a stronger design. Mine was missing one of the cap nuts . Unfortunately I don't have an assortment of METRIC cap nuts, so disappointed that I could not properly assemble my organizer and install. Think this would be a great organizer for a small assortment of battery operated power tools if you receive all of the hardware necessary to assemble.
