These ceramic brake pads were an amazing purchase for my 2014 Acura MDX. They did smoke and smell the first day after I replaced them, but they bedded pretty quickly and stopped smoking on the 2nd day. I didn't do any aggressive stopping and just drove normally. I did check the wheels for excessive heat, but it was kind of hard to determine since temperatures have been in the 80s even at night. They stop the vehicle very well, and I feel more confidence in them than the OEM pads that came with my MDX. I think the OEM pads would have made it to 50K miles (I have 43K miles on the vehicle now), but I figured I would go ahead and change them out now. I paired the pads with CENTRIC rotors. Update after 6 months of use: These rotors are great! They have a light initial squeal if the vehicle hasn't been moved in a couple of days or if the temperature is cold. It's minor though and goes away in the first minute of driving. ... show more

Got this set for the wife's Acura MDX. It comes with the complete hardware and even grease for the pads. I partnered these with a Power Stop Revolution rotors and they are amazing! I step on the pedal and it bites real good! Real stopping power! Soon I'd be fitting our AWD Sienna. I'm just waiting for the stock rotors and pads to fade with natural wear and tear. Only rating for kit contents as when inspecting factory brake pads I decided to hold off installing. The kit is really complete, includes shims, caliper slides, new boots and grease. Most aren’t this complete. UPDATE: reduced rating because after finally needing to install these it was discovered the slides did not fit the same as stock and did not allow the pads to install. Had it clean and reuse the factory slides, which will have to be removed and replaced when in stock. Not cool. ... show more
