  • Worked great on my '97 Jeep Wrangler
I bought these for my '97 Jeep Wrangler (2.5L 4-cylinder) and they worked great! It was my first time doing brakes on this Jeep so I had a question. I contacted Power Stop through their website and I had an answer the next day. Customer Support is great and I think the quality of the parts is very good - haven't had any issues after installing them. (I made a video of the brake work on YouTube - search for "Carbon's DIY Garage".) ... show more

  • Great kit to fix your yj
Rebuilt brakes on a 93 yj. Brakes fit perfectly with all the correct springs etc. Great kit for the money, highly recommended 👌

  • Almost great!!
Everything worked great except the adjuster. The adjuster was just a hair to long and wouldn’t let me get the drum break on. I cleaned up the old adjuster and everything worked perfect.

  • Check your boxes.
I bought this set for my 1992 Jeep Wrangler. I leave the state without opening the boxes and send the Jeep and parts to a mechanic to finishing putting my Jeep together. I just get a call from my mechanic and he says there are 4 drums but the pads and parts are ok. I have no time to send back and will just buy 2 rotors. ... show more

  • complete disc & drum replacement parts
All the right parts for all the right places! Was a little anxious that small parts might be missing, but they were all there & fit right- should last as long as anything from the local parts store, but alot more affordable for DIYers

  • Incomplete order
I ordered this kit for my 97 Jeep Wrangler that is in great condition. I have never ordered from powerstop before only Detroit axle for my other cars, I thought hey let's try them. I placed the order and a few days later receive the heavy box. So I start to think lets make this a great weekend learning experience for my teenage daughter, who drives the Jeep now.... Hmm let’s get the disk brakes done first. Open the main box, there are multiple smaller boxes inside. I put the rotor boxes by each front wheel and the brake pads box by the right front wheel then take and put the drum boxes by each wheel and the shoe box by the left rear tire. We knock out the front brakes in no time using the compressor and power tools. So I explain to my daughter, Drum brakes are a lot harder than the disk brakes "Be prepared". We jack up the rear of the vehicle, use wheel chocks for the front tires, and place the jack stands under the vehicle. The rear tires are off the ground, we remove the wheels to expose the rusted drums. Yeap! we could not get the drums off right away because of the rust. They looked like the originals. I am the 3rd owner of this vehicle, my Dad being the 2nd. So I know a lot about this Jeep, have owned it since 2000. After soaking the Drums in WD-40 for about 45 minutes I grab a 4lb dead blow mallet, give the drums some whacks. No luck getting the drums off. Spray some more WD-40. Wait a bit more. Break out the 6lbs metal sledge and give the drums a bunch of extensive whacks. They finally come loose. Pull off the drums and set them aside. Open the drum boxes and admire how nice they look, open the brake shoe box, look through everything, then and low and behold.... "@@it there is only one auto adjustment kit. We do the breaks on the left rear drums and since then I have submitted an email to customerservice@powerstop.com . We will see what happens next. Will keep you updated. Yes I could have used the old parts, but not like I am going to really replace the drums and shoes on this 156k miles Jeep again. Picture shown is the missing kit bag. ... show more
