    • Great price for slotted/drilled rotors, super easy DIY - 2013 BMW 328i F30
UPDATE: 6 MONTHS IN - brakes have been working great and continue to work great. Have had to make a few aggressive stops to avoid idiots on the I-10 and well.. they work. Grinding noise went away week 2. So I was having issues with my 2013 BMW 328i where braking was incredibly frustrating as there was about 1.5 inches of play in the pedal before the brakes would all of the sudden kick in and act as as if I slammed them down, causing everything in the car to fly forward. I bled the lines, changed the fluid and the issue continued. So I figured it had to be the rotors/pads. Since I swapped them out for these, there is a nice, smooth feel to the pedal with full range of resistance d(like it should be, go figure). I was weary at first since the new brakes started out with a rubbing noise that was disturbing when coming to a stop/inching forward. After reading up on it, it seems this is caused by the fact that they need to heat up. These brakes have a break in period (duh) but furthermore, there’ a break in PROCEDURE that needs to be followed. A quick/rough breakdown of that procedure according to my memory (you are responsible for your own research and safety): You need to make 4 - 5 moderate to aggressive stops from 40 mph to 5 mph (don’t come to a complete stop) followed by 5 min of uninterrupted driving, allowing the brakes to cool down. Once I did this, they functioned perfectly, no noise on stopping. The car brakes like it was when I first got it 60k miles ago. No more clunky braking. The next day I found that the brakes were still “rubbery” after a cold start and continues to make that sound on the first few stops. I suspect this is due to the fact that they are performance brakes and need that heat to get them operating at peak performance. So far I would give them 4 stars as I’m not a fan of the noise after a cold start. I will update for longevity in the future. ... show more

    • Incredibly frustrating process
Let me say up front that I like these rotors and pads however, it was an absolute nightmare getting them. I also got the rear and the rear had missing pad clips and the only way to get them was to return the entire order to Amazon and enter a new order. This was after talking to Powerstop to try to get them to just send me the clips, at Amazon’s recommendation. They almost had an attitude that they didn’t really care since I ordered from Amazon. When I received the front set there were no metal clips in this package either. I called the company to see if they were included and they said they should be in the box. Same process again. Had to return entire order and reorder. When this order came there were no metal clips again. The picture on the box shows the metal clips, the web description says everything is included, and the person at Powerstop said they should be in the box. I finally ordered the clips from Rockauto. Very frustrating process that took over 4 weeks to finally be able to install. Again, I like the product but there are other options out there that are just as good and probably willing to help you with a problem. I won’t go through this again! ... show more

    • Great stopping power, squeal when cold
The pads and rotors kit is great and included everything needed for my f30 BMW (including a new sensor). They provide fantastic stopping power (and look good too). Only complaint is that they squeal when they are cold but that is to be expected from more performance oriented brake pads and rotors
