It was time to do a brake job on my wife's 2015 Explorer Sport. Decided to upgrade to drilled & slotted rotors for better braking due to the drilled holes helping the rotors cool down & the slots cleaning off the pads. The factory rotors are fine for daily driving around town, but under a lot of braking, the rotors can heat up quickly and your brakes will fade causing you to not stop when needed. These really are a huge upgrade over OEM rotors. After putting them on along with the new pads from Power Stop, I went through the break in procedure. We then went on our vacation to North Carolina. We drove through steep grades in West Virginia & Virginia and never once smelled the brakes & rotors heating up. I made sure to use the brakes quite a bit just to test them out & they did their job. After trying drilled & slotted rotors I will never use OEM rotors again. At this day in age I don't even understand why drilled & slotted rotors aren't standard on new vehicles anyway. ... show more

This is the second Power Stop product I have bought, excellent quality and solid stopping power. You don’t think about braking power until you need it and when I needed it, the stopping power was amazing. A must do item if you want a great product that your life depends on!

    • Fit like OEM but look 100% Better
They are just a little noisy for about first 100 miles till they seat. The color remains as nice as the day you open the box. I am writing this review after using the product for over 3k miles, so I feel confident in my review. I will buy the same kit for my other Taurus.

    • It does not fit sport 2017 although they told me it will.
I asked so many times if it will fit and the answer was yes, I bought it and as I started working on the car and after taking the break pads and caliber out I discovered that the front pads did not match the original. I’m really angry and really pissed I wasted a lot of time and money and the results is zero. Now I have to refund wait for 14 days to get my money and try to find another brand to match my car. I’m really disappointed that a company with this volume cannot provide trustworthy data about their products. ... show more

Just made our first road trip after the install and rotors warped already. Every time we hit the brakes on the freeway we get brake shimmy. Going to contact Powerstop and find out what they can do for me. Also make sure you put the pads in the right location. You can easily install them wrong like I did. Rear pads have a piston side and non piston side. ... show more
