Precision drill holes allow for maximum rotor cooling. This keeps your brakes temperatures down during extreme operating conditions. Installed this kit on 2015 VW Passat TDI. Took me about 1.5 hours to complete and I am only moderately mechanical. Tools needed: C-lamp, 17mm socket or factory lug nut removal tool, 21 mm socket, 7mm allen key, T30 Torx bit, screwdriver, jack and jack stands. Calipers and rotors came off very easy. New rotors look great, new pads are great too. Break in is straightforward and simple to complete. I ended up using a floor jack without jack stands and did one side at a time. I have a long commute and a lot of stop and go traffic. I drive a 2016 Passat and the oem brakes and rotors went bad pretty quickly. The rotors in the front also had an incredible amount of dust. I would literally clean my car and the rims would be black before the middle of the week . Took a chance on these based on a few reviews and could not be happier. I have a long downhill drive to work and my stock brakes were warped and sounded like train brakes making people flinch or cringe when my car came to a stop and they were only had 35k miles on them. I had the Z23 brake kits installed in the front and rear and I can tell you the discs are larger than the factory discs and the brakes have very little brake dust. Stopping is flawless after about 1500 miles I would say I’ve tested them enough and would recommend them to others. ... show more

Installed rotors and pads last night on my 15 VW Passat. I think I got carbon ceramic brakes. I would have opted for regular ceramic brakes but these work well today especially during sustained braking (off ramps, long hills etc). They fit exact like OEM. Rotors have 2 bolt patterns but that is find, the locating screw and hole only lines up for the VW bolt pattern. I didnt have the brake pad wear sensors on my car, I cut the line. They are quiet. I replace my OEM rotor and brakes on VW Passat 2017 R-line. That’s fit perfectly, replace by my self for 2 hours. It’s really good product. I replace OEM brakes on my second car, Highlander 2018 for EBC brakes, and pay 3 times more, for the same stopping effect. Why we have to pay more for the same effect?!? ... show more

Despite what this product says here on Amazon it does NOT in fact fit a 2018/2019 LWB Tiguan (new body style). As soon as I opened the package it was apparent that this was for the SWB original Tiguan body style. The good news is you'll get your money back.
