I was really surprised to find cross drilled and vented rotors with ceramic pads for this price! I initially thought that it sounded too good to be true but after seeing the reviews I thought I'd give them a try. I had the auto shop install them but from my understanding they have the same installation process as OEM replacements. For one, the rotors look fantastic, it looks like I'm driving a sports car and I love that (makes me want to paint my calipers!). Second, and I'm not sure what the reason for this is, but I've put probably 30k miles on the car (it's at 60k now), and the brakes have always been super sensitive and it was a constant struggle to brake smoothly. Any emergency braking was particularly terrifying because I always braked way harder than intended. It was my biggest complaint about the car. I drive a 2016 Passat S and after the new brakes were installed it brakes like a dream now, with gentle braking at the top of the pedal travel and a smooth increase in stopping force the rest of the way. I haven't had to slam the brakes to see how these things actually perform in an emergency, but some of the heavier braking from slowing highway traffic gave me a lot of confidence that they are indeed superior to the OEMs. I'm happy a shelled out the extra cash for these! ... show more

I used different ones on my rear brakes to save money, and those have already started to rust. These I installed a week before my rear brakes and they still look brand new. I bought and installed these rotors and pads for my 2010 Jeep three years ago. I’ve replaced the pads since after 40K plus miles. Recently I became a repeat customer with rotors and brakes for a 2016 VW Passat. Everything was included and high quality. I have a long commute and a lot of stop and go traffic. I drive a 2016 Passat and the oem brakes and rotors went bad pretty quickly. The rotors in the front also had an incredible amount of dust. I would literally clean my car and the rims would be black before the middle of the week . Took a chance on these based on a few reviews and could not be happier.     • Worth the purchase
I have a long downhill drive to work and my stock brakes were warped and sounded like train brakes making people flinch or cringe when my car came to a stop and they were only had 35k miles on them. I had the Z23 brake kits installed in the front and rear and I can tell you the discs are larger than the factory discs and the brakes have very little brake dust. Stopping is flawless after about 1500 miles I would say I’ve tested them enough and would recommend them to others. ... show more

Installed this kit on 2015 VW Passat TDI. Took me about 1.5 hours to complete and I am only moderately mechanical. Tools needed: C-lamp, 17mm socket or factory lug nut removal tool, 21 mm socket, 7mm allen key, T30 Torx bit, screwdriver, jack and jack stands. Calipers and rotors came off very easy. New rotors look great, new pads are great too. Break in is straightforward and simple to complete. I ended up using a floor jack without jack stands and did one side at a time.
