  • Just What I was affraid of...
I purchased this set of Rotors and pad's for my 2015 Tundra. They fit perfectly and were very easy to install. I only wish they supplied the slide pins in the kit because it was a huge pain to get the old ones out without damaging them, but that's a Toyota issue not a brake issue. So i have had these brakes on my truck for almost a month, at low speed they work great with a nice firm pedal, however at highway speed they scare the crap out of me with a major pedal pulse. I suspect that for some reason the rotors are warped already with less than 1,000 miles on them, since I bought them for towing I feel very unsafe in towing anything. I would not recommend them! Similar to other reviews they seem to warp with the slightest of use. I should have listened to the other reviews that complained about very premature warping. That was a waste of $230 plus dollars. ... show more

  • Warped in less than a year
This is my 2nd set of these and they again warped in no time at all. I don't think I got 10,000 miles out of them before the truck was shaking under braking again. I had them turned which got me about 5,000 more miles, but they're just junk rotors. I live in a flat area and do very little towing (and the one trailer I do occasionally tow has its own brakes). The first set of these also warped in less than a year. Absolutely unacceptable for the price. I have a growing pile of Power Stop pads with 90% of their life left sitting on top of all of their garbage rotors. ... show more

  • Warped
Purchased to replace brakes on a 2008 Tundra. The first set warped after one week of use, called Amazon and they sent out a new replacement set. Another week and the second set is warped as well. Both sets broken in properly (5x 40-10mph, 5x 35-5mph, allowed to cool by driving for 15 min before using brakes). Think i will go back to stock brake rotors and pads. Have gone through two sets of stock brakes without issues. On a positive note, these Powerstop brakes seem to work better than stock when not warped. On a positive note these rotors work well - think much better than stock - before they warp. ... show more

  • So far they are okay. But after 1 year i switched them out
Parts seem to be good quality. No problems with fit. I followed the break in procedure. I only put 25 miles on the brakes and they seem no different then my OEM brakes. I’ll update after a couple of months and post any improvements or problems and adjust the star rating. 2014 CM Tundra. 9/2019 update. They are okay. Just okay. Stopping power is no better than OE. I just went on a trip in Virginia and West Virginia. After going down hill in low gear, applying the brakes as needed the were okay. However I tried to stop after going down a mountain with nothing being towed or in the bed of my Tundra. I was trying to slow down to make a turn and almost went past my turn. The brakes were hot after my descent and began to fade causing me to almost go past my turn.. People online say the rotors are good but a lot say to go with Hawk LTS Pads for even better stopping power. I am thinking about doing this. Update to come. 9-8-2020 In the begining of the year i switched out the pads with EBC and braking improved. Last week i was in VA and WVA and the brakes started to pulsate. Today i ordered sloted and dimpled EBC rotors to match the EBC pads. I have less then 4 thousand miles on the Prostop rotors and less the 2 thousand on the pads before switching them out. ... show more

  • Seemingly Impressive but short-lived
Let me setup my situation. I tow a camper in Colorado which means my brakes are subject to "Extreme" or "Severe" service. Which is why I bought the Z36 "Extreme" for "Severe Duty" brake kit for my Tundra. The kit was installed and broken-in per manufacture instructions. These brakes lasted for approx 1.75years and then the passenger side rotor warped. This was proven by measuring the runout at .007" which is way outside the spec and caused violent steering wheel shutter. My advice is: when it comes to brakes stick with OE products or a manufacture who warranties their product longer than 60 days. ... show more

  • Poor fit up, performance? The jury’s still out on that part
I bought this kit for my 2016 Tundra TRD as I do a fair amount of hauling. First thing I noticed was the kit was incomplete, no shoe slide pins included. Discription says all hardware needed included in kit and of course I broke one of the old ones removing it. Parts stores do not carry these so I had to make one, they are 10mm in diameter X 120 mm long. No big deal as I’m a machinist.turned down a grade 5, 3/8” bolt. Well that worked great. Cleaned up the calipers and started to install pads, pads are to long to fit into caliper. I measured caliper and the pad backing plates were .066” longer than the inside of caliper. To the milling machine we go, I removed .038” from each side of the pads to allow for clearance. The Rotors fit great and after I finished the install and did the proper pad bedding procedure these brakes a great! Can’t imagine trying to install these without a machine shop at hand, in my estimation if a manufacturer says all the parts are included in the kit, well they should be! If the manufacturer says they’ll fit my vehicle, well they should! Not so with this kit, the performance had better out weigh the piss poor fit up, time will tell! ... show more

  • Disappointed! Spungey feel and weak stopping power!! 2017 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro
Rotors look good and on my 2017 Toyota Tundra installation is easy. Powerstop says their brakes need a special brake in procedure which was no where to be found in the packaging. I was lucky when I was doing research on these brakes they have this information on their web site. If I didn't go to their web site I would have had no idea of this procedure. So the install was easy, the break in procedure was easy but the brakes are spongey and the stopping power is less than OEM. I have some Hawk extreme duty pads on order since I know these pads work well. ... show more

  • Crappy warranty, Rotors warp quickly, decent stopping power.
BUYER BEWARE, 60 day warranty form the manufacturer only. ZERO coverage for warped rotors. Purchased in October, by January the rotors had started to warp. Before you chastise me, yes, I followed the break in procedure to the letter. Amazon support was not helpful either. They do stop well.
