  • Decent enough for the price
Color: Grey
I have a very similar brush grip anchor I purchased from a local sporting goods chain. Think I paid about $25. This is a little flimsy compared to that one (the metal might be a tad thinner). Overall its the exact same profile. The cord is very similar. I think this will hold up fine for what it is, this will be on my son's kayak when we fish. So for a $6 savings I suppose its a decent deal. (SIDE NOTE: I found it humorous these came with instructions; I have purchased more complex things that should have had instructions that didn't. These having them isn't a negative by any means, just pretty simply item that they probably didn't need to spend the effort.) ... show more

  • Worth every Penny!
Color: Grey
I picked this up as a secondary unit as I have 2 SUPs and 2 Kayaks. It came very quickly and was packed quite nicely. It is made of high quality materials. The rope is nice and thick and is very strong. When I unboxed it I was surprised to see that it was already all put together and ready to go. A very nice surprise. it will in fact grip ANYTHING up to 6 inches ad hold steady. Held my Sup in place in choppy lake water for well over a couple hours while I hung out.A great buy for the price. I Definitely recommend this! ... show more

  • As shown

Kind of as one would expect-good and bad. The worst is that this will certainly mar pretty much anything you put it on, from even a painted pipe, to more obvious tree bark. I'd be most concerned about clipping it onto a boat dock (as shown in the product description) in front of a ranger or even private dock owner. Then again, the goal is to secure your boat/kayak/canoe or whatever, and I certainly think it is more than capable of that. The paracord is not terribly long, but it comes with little carabiners so it is easy enough to lengthen it using an anchor rope or the like. The included coiled shock cord, like the afore mentioned carabiners is not very robust, so I wouldn't be thinking about using it/them in high stress situations. If one were to be totally conscientious about this, I'd carry this for security, and another one like some of the DIY's I've seen out there that are non-marring. ... show more
