2005 Ford F250. Very happy with the results. I tow a 35 foot fifth wheel toy hauler, plenty of power to get moving but always a concern when stopping especially on downhill tows. When in “Tow Haul” with the original brakes during hill descents I would have longer and harder braking periods to control my speed. Doing so would force “Tow Haul” to downshift too low and really over rev the engine. With the new brakes I have shorter less forceful braking periods to control my speed and not fool “Tow Haul” to over downshift. Overall stopping with and without towing is improved. Installation was simple and without issue. Went through the burn in of the brakes in an industrial area and cooled doing circles in a large empty parking lot. ... show more

Seem to be great brakes. I purchased them for front and rear replacements on my 2006 f-350 super duty with single rear wheel. I had a nasty rear brake pulsation from rust and all the towing I was doing with my trailer and four bikes. Brakes are now very smooth and seem to be cooler than before when daily driving. Haven’t towed with them yet but am excited to see how they do with a good load. ... show more

  • EZ to install!
I installed these pads & rotors about 2 months ago, approx 1000 miles. Ez to install but I wish more lube/sealant & install directions for the clips were included (nothing on YouTube for the clips). Other than that, there have been no issues & everything works great!

  • good But...Pricey
So this kit is cool but… way too pricey for crap made in china. Rotors are manufactured and machined in china... That's scary to me since I have had a “made in china” eagle crankshaft snap on me before and came to find it was a common occurrence in that specific crank made in china. Others made in the US did not have the issues. The Pads I got are the z36 severe duty, cant find a made in tag anywhere but the box says bed ford Illinois which is the home of power stop brakes. Have not been able to find much on if these rotors are going to have cracking issues like so many other Chinese made slotted and drilled rotors I have seen horror stories about on the internet. The "coating" is a joke. It’s paint and mine were lightly dusted on the spots that normally rust and heavily coated on the contact surfaces to coat the slots and tapered drill holes. cleaning with brake cleaner finds that it just paint. silver paint done to try and deceive you into thinking they actually hot zinc dipped them. It just silver spray paint. As for the Performance, please note I changed all rubber brake lines on my 2007 F250 6.0L and all 4 calipers due to the classic sticking calipers found on almost all f250’s from 99-2007. Performance is what you expect from a drilled and slotted rotor and a set of severe duty performance pads. Cold stopping power is not so great but once you get some heat in the pads and rotors they stop very well. Several years ago, I did all 4 calipers, pads and rotors all in motor-craft parts because the same issue I had this time with 2 stuck calipers. They were good no matter what temp the brakes were. It was a good all-around performer. Comparing the power stop to that setup during daily driving with no trailer and towing 7K lbs, its the same with a little more emergency stopping power especially when towing. They seem to be getting a little better the more the pads seat to the rotors but cold They are numb. You must use a lot of pedal force to get them to stop. They will still stop but it feels like weak power assistance. My trucks a turbo Diesel so it uses a hydro booster and it works just fine. The numb feeling cold has to do with the pad material. If you are towing everyday you might love them especially if its around town with stop and go but cold climates and long interstate stretches I would look at a different pads than the z36 pads or whatever they call it unless you are towing through the mountains. If you tow through the mountains, you will want a pad like the Z36 severe duty pads. Got a couple thousand on them now and a towing trip of 1k miles and they are doing the job, but I will most likely change the pads and I kept my old rotors in case these things crack. I could have put a set of Motorcraft pads and rotors on and been fine with it. Not overly impressed but not disappointed either. Most people don’t know the issues associated with the F-250 calipers and blame the motorcraft pads but they are good when all 4 calipers are working correctly. Just good, not great and that’s my final thoughts on the power stops. They are good, just not great, especially for the price. ... show more
