Description

Power Stop brake pads are engineered for noise free braking with dual rubber backed shims that offer 6 times more noise reduction than plain steel shims. The pad surfaces are thermal scorched for fast break-in. Evolution pads feature a true ceramic formula that keeps wheels cleaner and won't wear-out the rotors. Power Stop pads have 20 percent more stopping power. The premium carbon-ceramic compound is made using OE positive mold technology, that assures a uniform friction density throughout the pad and this helps control noise and premature wear. Evolution pads are manufactured under TS16949 standards to OEM specifications including chamfers and slots.

Put these pads on my wife's 2013 328I. They fit perfectly and we've had no squeals, rattles or issues. They are super smooth and quiet when braking and my wife says she can't tell the difference between them and the original pads. If you like the feel of ceramic these are perfectly acceptable pads. However, if you're picky like me and you want something that feels more like original these might not be the best choice for you. I'll most likely go semi-metallic when it's time to replace the pads on my 435I. Nothing against these pads just personal preference. ... show more

These pads are similar to ones sold by RockAuto and came in about 20 cents cheaper. Amazon's return policy was the deciding factor. They are ceramic versus the OE semi-metallic ones, but I see no difference in initial bite. My main reason for ceramic, however, is their lack of brake dust and that they seem easier on rotors - less deep scoring. The bedding process went well and the pads seemed to bite well right out of the box. If there was a complaint, it was that the brake set was not exactly as pictured on Amazon. It was missing the high-temperature grease. Other than that, installation including the wear sensor worked perfectly. I know there is a lot written by auto enthusiast about the merits of one brake pad over another, but, let's face it, it's just friction material bonded to a metal plate and these work as well or better than the BMW branded ones that came with my X3. ... show more

No squeaking for the first 500 miles. It was all down hill after that. Squeaking began after 500 miles following a proper break in (35 mph to 0 5x 45mph to 0 3x). Stopping power is what you’d expect but these pads produce more dust than I’ve seen in 30 years of driving - picture attached. Won’t buy again. ... show more
