This is one tool every mechanic should have. It helps you diagnose most electrical faults with ease. I wouldn't recommend using the tip to pierce wires unless you absolutely have to as that just causes more problems down the road. The light on the front of this thing really helps in those spots under the dash as well. ... show more

Beautiful Power Probe III In Fire. I do some mechanic, some week-end, when I have time for that. I do that for 25 years, and I never think, they have some things on the market to do what the Power Probe III can make. When I fix some problem on my car or truck, I use jumper wire. Now with the Power Probe III, I can do with-out jumper wire, in some case. Check for ground problem, run some thing like motor fan, cooling fan, horn, pump gas and ... I just begening to enjoy the Power probe III, and I give a five stars, for that circuit tester. ... show more
