[sold separately] Been living in a custom-built campervan for over a year now and using a different set of 3
3' of USB lighting as my primary nighttime light source (No longer available on Amazon). They were never bright enough to do much with. So, on and off, over the past year (No pun intended), I looked for a replacement, preferably USB again for energy savings as I have 400 watts of solar and a 1500 Wh power station (Bluetti), and USB drains almost nothing from it. i have the 10' Luminoodle XL (white light only), and it is ridiculously bright for USB (360 lumens). You can see from my pics (off, on, off, on) the huge difference the light makes. I just ordered a second one for a total of 720 lumens in my 65 square foot abode. A couple of things some other reviewers have alluded to.... The Luminoodle itself, does NOT come with a dimmer/remote. It it sold separately for about $12 (amazon.com/gp/product/B06XXM1T5G/), and it is not linked to the Luminoodle Amazon page (likely Amazon's fault). Out of the box, the remote does not work. Naturally, you must pull the plastic tab that covers the battery. But then you still have to fiddle with it to get it to work. Not sure what I did to get it to work, but once it works, it's awesome! #SorryNotMoreHelpful Hoping this won't be an issue in the future. The remote is omnidirectional, unlike my previous set of USB lights, so transmitter placement is not important. Also, the Luminoodle is NOT flat. It has a flat side, and a curved side. So, the cord itself has a front and a back. For some reason, this pisses a lot of people off. Only complaints so far.... 10' is the maximum length you can buy. Also, the inline wired dimmer has a great ON/OFF button that simply toggles off and on. The remote has separate buttons for the same functionality. But, top left is off, and top right is on, so it's not too bad. For reference, my old set had top left as on, immediately next to that was off, and then there were 20 other buttons you had no idea what they did in the dark, nor could you tell which way was up in the dark. I needed a flashlight handy at all times. I cannot attest to longevity, nor can I attest to outdoor operation, as I've only used it inside my campervan for the past 24 hours. But, so far, I am thoroughly impressed, so-much-so that I've already ordered a second set of lights plus remote. I hope you have found this initial review helpful. Nothing was free. I have now spent $79 on Luminoodle products as of this review.
