**UPDATE** I heard back from the sellers after originally submitting this review, and they offered to make things right which I really appreciate. That's a big thumbs up from me for the sellers. The chair has been working fine so far, but I'm still unsure about how long it will last. My dad has been able to get in and out of the chair without much trouble which is really what I was hoping for. Honestly I think a "fabric" version of the chair would be a better bet than the "faux leather," but we couldn't get the fabric because of issues with having the clean up the seat cushion, etc. YMMV on all of this, but A+ for the sellers for recognizing my issues with the chair. ************* I ordered the "dark brown leather" version of this chair. Here's my initial impressions. Pros: - It's a nice looking chair. The color is spot on from the listing and the white stitching looks really nice. - The recline and lift functions work well. They are both a very slow, but they work. - The side table is a nice touch, although 95% of people using this are going to be seniors so the wireless charging is sort of a waste. - Assembly was pretty easy, and I was able to get it put together myself in about 20 minutes. Cons: - This chair is not leather. It's faux leather at best, but likely some sort of other cheap Chinese knock off material. The color is nice, but the material is thin. This thing is going to tear sooner or later, especially if you have pets. - The recline/lift functions are slow and hard for the elderly. I have another of these chairs (different brand) and that one has a single up/down function where the footrest comes out and the back reclines immediately after with a single button push, and the other button resets and has the chair stand. Easy functionality for seniors who tend to forget things. I like that you have control over the footrest and and seat back separately on this chair, but honestly it's just one more step in getting things set up that's going to frustrate your older parent who's likely using this chair every day. The fact that the motor runs so slowly makes you have to hold the buttons even longer to get it set up, which again is hard for older arthritic hands. - The listing says this chair will hold 400 lbs, but realistically the side arms will break with a heavier person sitting on this before the seat cushion will. My dad's old chair was impossible for him to get out of because he had to push himself up using the puffy armrests to support all of his weight. This chair will be better because of the lift function, but you'll still need to push yourself up and out of the chair after standing. the side arms on this chair are far too wobbly for a chair of this price. A 400 lb person leaning all their weight on the arms will break this thing in a matter of weeks. The quality here just doesn't match the price. - Comfort-wise, again the quality does not match the price. I would expect a far more comfy chair for how much I paid for this thing, but it's a bit stiff and just not something I would want to sit in all day, which is what my dad is planning to do. - The photos in the listing show the the remote to adjust the footrest and back should have a hook on it which hooks onto a loop by the right armrest. The remote does NOT have a hook on it, so this is not possible. This was actually a big selling point for me on this chair, and I'm super disappointed it was not included. - The power cables for this chair (there are two of them) are super short, so you're going to end up with a big power strip sitting 2-3 feet away from the chair. There's two plugs coming out the back of this chair, I assume to power the lift/recline and the heat/massage. They made the cords on these plugs literally 4 feet long, so there's no way to adequately hide the cords after you plug them in. This isn't a deal breaker, but it's a pain and looks bad. - I don't feel like the recliner lifts quite high enough. Again, I have another of these chairs in a different brand and that one pushes you up to almost completely standing. This one gets you maybe 85% of the way there which is decent, but for older folks who REALLY have trouble getting out of chairs and REALLY need an extra boost, this chair might not push them as high as they need to go. Overall I'm relatively okay with this chair and it's functionality, but for how much I paid for it, the quality just does not match up. I literally would have expected to pay about half as much as I did for a chair with this many shortcomings. It's not a bad chair, just extraordinarily overpriced.

It broke within 4 months, twice. They were real good about replacing the base when it broke the first time but it still did not last a full 4 months. Much of the wood in it was particle board. 900 dollars for a chair that lasted 3 and half months.

I’ve been using this chair for a few days now and overall I’m pretty happy with it. Comfortable and easy to use. The reclining and massage functions work well. Cup holders and USB port are convenient. Assembly was straightforward. Works great for relaxing or watching TV. Overall, it’s a good chair for everyday use, especially if you want something simple and comfortable for watching TV or resting.

This JIKFRIMA high-power sofa I bought for my family has excellent load-bearing capacity. The 400-pound rating is not an exaggeration. It feels very stable when you sit on it, and the lifting is smooth without any jerking. The features are comprehensive, with wireless charging and USB ports being very convenient. There's no need to drag a power strip beside the sofa anymore. The massage and heating functions are quite practical for elders with poor back and waist conditions. Although it's not at the level of a professional massage chair, it's sufficient for them to relax while watching TV. The flat-laying function is a highlight. After stretching, it's almost completely flat, and it's very comfortable for a nap. The full leather material makes cleaning convenient. If you want a higher level of comfort, you can choose the fabric model!

This chair is very comfortable and we purchased it for an elderly person which had difficulty getting up on her own out of her traditional bed. It lays completely flat like a bed. When raised it helps lift a person back up to a seated position and even lifts slightly forward helping them get up. A feature that is great are the two separate remotes. One is for chair lift and function and the other is for heating / massage etc. This is great as it helps eliminate button confusion and does not to overwhelm an older user. The remotes are corded and the chair has a convenient loop which you can put them through. It keeps the remotes from dropping on the floor accidentally or falling into the seat getting "lost". The chair came in three boxes which made it easier to carry and the assembly is very easy. The color we selected was brown and it is nice and looks like real leather. The price was better than the local big box furniture place. We are very pleased with this purchase.
