This chair is very comfortable and we purchased it for an elderly person which had difficulty getting up on her own out of her traditional bed. It lays completely flat like a bed. When raised it helps lift a person back up to a seated position and even lifts slightly forward helping them get up. A feature that is great are the two separate remotes. One is for chair lift and function and the other is for heating / massage etc. This is great as it helps eliminate button confusion and does not to overwhelm an older user. The remotes are corded and the chair has a convenient loop which you can put them through. It keeps the remotes from dropping on the floor accidentally or falling into the seat getting "lost". The chair came in three boxes which made it easier to carry and the assembly is very easy. The color we selected was brown and it is nice and looks like real leather. The price was better than the local big box furniture place. We are very pleased with this purchase.

**UPDATE** I heard back from the sellers after originally submitting this review, and they offered to make things right which I really appreciate. That's a big thumbs up from me for the sellers. The chair has been working fine so far, but I'm still unsure about how long it will last. My dad has been able to get in and out of the chair without much trouble which is really what I was hoping for. Honestly I think a "fabric" version of the chair would be a better bet than the "faux leather," but we couldn't get the fabric because of issues with having the clean up the seat cushion, etc. YMMV on all of this, but A+ for the sellers for recognizing my issues with the chair. ************* I ordered the "dark brown leather" version of this chair. Here's my initial impressions. Pros: - It's a nice looking chair. The color is spot on from the listing and the white stitching looks really nice. - The recline and lift functions work well. They are both a very slow, but they work. - The side table is a nice touch, although 95% of people using this are going to be seniors so the wireless charging is sort of a waste. - Assembly was pretty easy, and I was able to get it put together myself in about 20 minutes. Cons: - This chair is not leather. It's faux leather at best, but likely some sort of other cheap Chinese knock off material. The color is nice, but the material is thin. This thing is going to tear sooner or later, especially if you have pets. - The recline/lift functions are slow and hard for the elderly. I have another of these chairs (different brand) and that one has a single up/down function where the footrest comes out and the back reclines immediately after with a single button push, and the other button resets and has the chair stand. Easy functionality for seniors who tend to forget things. I like that you have control over the footrest and and seat back separately on this chair, but honestly it's just one more step in getting things set up that's going to frustrate your older parent who's likely using this chair every day. The fact that the motor runs so slowly makes you have to hold the buttons even longer to get it set up, which again is hard for older arthritic hands. - The listing says this chair will hold 400 lbs, but realistically the side arms will break with a heavier person sitting on this before the seat cushion will. My dad's old chair was impossible for him to get out of because he had to push himself up using the puffy armrests to support all of his weight. This chair will be better because of the lift function, but you'll still need to push yourself up and out of the chair after standing. the side arms on this chair are far too wobbly for a chair of this price. A 400 lb person leaning all their weight on the arms will break this thing in a matter of weeks. The quality here just doesn't match the price. - Comfort-wise, again the quality does not match the price. I would expect a far more comfy chair for how much I paid for this thing, but it's a bit stiff and just not something I would want to sit in all day, which is what my dad is planning to do. - The photos in the listing show the the remote to adjust the footrest and back should have a hook on it which hooks onto a loop by the right armrest. The remote does NOT have a hook on it, so this is not possible. This was actually a big selling point for me on this chair, and I'm super disappointed it was not included. - The power cables for this chair (there are two of them) are super short, so you're going to end up with a big power strip sitting 2-3 feet away from the chair. There's two plugs coming out the back of this chair, I assume to power the lift/recline and the heat/massage. They made the cords on these plugs literally 4 feet long, so there's no way to adequately hide the cords after you plug them in. This isn't a deal breaker, but it's a pain and looks bad. - I don't feel like the recliner lifts quite high enough. Again, I have another of these chairs in a different brand and that one pushes you up to almost completely standing. This one gets you maybe 85% of the way there which is decent, but for older folks who REALLY have trouble getting out of chairs and REALLY need an extra boost, this chair might not push them as high as they need to go. Overall I'm relatively okay with this chair and it's functionality, but for how much I paid for it, the quality just does not match up. I literally would have expected to pay about half as much as I did for a chair with this many shortcomings. It's not a bad chair, just extraordinarily overpriced.

Due to some recent health changes my husband could no longer use his rocking recliner, so we set about finding a lift chair. Being 6'3" tall, it was important that a chair was comfortable for him, but he was not able to go to various local furniture stores to try them out. After much searching I found this chair and I am so happy I did. The top stitching it is similar in style to our sofa and best of all, my husband says it is very comfortable. It is supportive through the lower back even though he uses the extra back pillow as a head pillow. The massage and heating elements are very subtle, and not as pronounced as one would experience with an actual massaging chair, but still can be felt. It is a large chair and does take up a considerable amount of space, but considering the price point and quality, as compared to what was available at our local furniture stores, it was well worth taking the chance on this chair sight unseen. Definitely happy with our purchase. Update: Two weeks ago the handheld controller for the chair developed a loose wire effecting the movement selected for the chair. It would only work if the controller was wiggled around to make an on again, off again response. After contacting the company they sent another controller without charge even though the chair was out of the one year warranty period. I can't say how much we appreciated their prompt and helpful service. You can't go wrong with this chair and company! Very, very pleased.

It broke within 4 months, twice. They were real good about replacing the base when it broke the first time but it still did not last a full 4 months. Much of the wood in it was particle board. 900 dollars for a chair that lasted 3 and half months.

First, have no fear of ordering from this company, they are the best and will treat you the way customers want to be treated: with politeness and cooperation. Having said that, I found that this chair seems to be made for a much taller person than I am, and a much stronger one. I not only have fibromyalgia, but hip problems (I'll need surgery), and am recovering from shoulder surgery. Thus, I am not strong, and I ordered this chair because I was having repeated difficulties getting out of my old recliner that substitutes for both bed and lounging chair. The chair is nice for what it's made for, and everything works well, but it it needs a larger, stronger person to truly benefit from it. While it is electric, it was difficult to get out of and get reseated in, given the way it works and the depth of the seat cushion: I feel is is really made for someone at least six feet tall. I wanted something that didn't cause my husband to have to help me in and out of it every time, but it didn't do that. But I am only one person, and others may not find it so. It is probably one of the better examples of this kind of chair, so try it if you feel inclined...and are tall! This is my honest review. Chair does what it advertises. Legs go up and down, the chair lifts up, and it messages my back. The quality of the leather isn’t that great. It’s not a top grain leather. The material feels kind of cheap. I guess I will need to spend big money for quality these days. Also, not built for tall people. At 6’4” my legs really hang off the edge much more than I would care for.

I am giving this a 5 star rating even though the chair broke. We had this chair just shy of 2 years before the lift mechanism broke. I messaged the after-sales service to try to see if I could order the part that broke. They let me know there was a 2 year warranty on this chair in which we were eligible. All they asked was that I send a video of the chair as to how it was working/not working. Within a days time, the after-sales service replied back stating that a new base for our chair would be sent out immediately. We received the new, even updated, version of the base with all accessories, within the next 3 days as promised without any issues whatsoever. WOW! Although the chair did break, I still will recommend JIKFRIMA brand products because they genuinely offer outstanding after-sales service!!

I really like this recliner. It arrived quickly and was easy to assemble. I love that I can move the feet and back independently and it really does lay flat. I took one star away for the heat and massage functionality. I can barely feel the "massage" (actually vibration) and do not feel the heat at all. Fortunately, this is not why I bought the chair. But if it is your deal breaker you might look elsewhere. I wanted an electric, lay flat recliner with a cup holder. There are many to choose from and this one is not the cheapest nor the most expensive, I chose this one for it's aesthetic appeal and the fold out table on the side of the chair. It is truly a very attractive chair and it is comfortable enough that I get a lot of use out of it.
