  • Great chair for the money
This chair came in two boxes that I was able to open and assemble myself and I am small. The chair looks terrific in our living room. It has a higher back for my husband (about 41" back height) but not so tall as to look out of place with other chairs and the sofa. It is very comfortable and adjusts from sitting straight to almost laying down flat as on a bed. It also stands the user up almost to a full standing position. The stand up feature is a real help to my husband. The heating option is a bit finicky and does not seem to always come on. The heat is also very localized to the lower back area. We need a bit more on colder days and so use a larger heating pad behind us sometimes as we sit. The massage is very dependable and can be selected separately for upper, mid and lower back, seat, and legs. Great massage options! Do not let your cat or dog scratch the leather look fabric because it scratches VERY easily. Very strong fabric otherwise and looks well in my living room with a real leather sofa and other chair. This is a great buy for the price. :) ... show more

  • Large, comfortable chair- read update
This is an update from a previous review. Our chair arrived damaged. Minor issues: broken wheel, missing bracket and a small tear on one arm. Dealing with customer service was a little frustrating. No phone number is available so only email communication. All emails were polite, but repeat questions even though all info and pictures were provided as requested. After 3 weeks, I was offered a credit that arrived promptly. I don't know if I will receive the wheel or bracket or if the credit is to cover all problems. The chair:. Large, comfortable, and works as described. My husband is a tall, large man so one reason I purchased this chair is that it was roomy. Works well for him and the lift function is wonderful. Update:. Seventeen months later:. Mechanical parts still work beautifully, quiet and smooth. The chair itself is another story. The seat padding is non- exsistant now. There is literally an inch of loose faux leather squished down. The seat is hard and uncomfortable. I bought a 5" seat cushion that helps but isn't ideal. The leg rest leather is split where the stitching goes across. It's a shame that poor quality in the padding can ruin a good mechanical chair. ... show more

  • **UPDATE 10/23/23 ** If the motors quit working, check the remote first.
The footrest got stuck in the up position, so we ended up ordering a replacement motor for the footrest. Before I took the other motor out, I attached the remote to the new motor. The new motor wouldn't work, telling me that the remote was probably bad instead of the motor. We ordered a new dual motor remote and put it on yesterday. THAT was the problem. The chair worked just fine and the footrest went up and down. No need to replace the motor. The only things you put together, is you put the chair seat on the chair base and then slide the arms on. The motors are already attached to the chair base, you just plug the remotes into the wires. I could have done it by myself. My daughter and I put it together and it took maybe 30 minutes, and that includes reading instructions and getting it out of the box. It is nice and comfortable. The heat gets to a comfortable warmth. The massage is a bit iffy, it is more of a vibrate. We paid less than $600.00 for this chair, and it is a better chair than the ones that run over $1000.00. As a Home Care provider, I see power chairs all the time. This is one of the best. It truly lays flat out to 180 degrees and as a lift chair, it will go up high enough to slide you out on the floor. My husband is under six foot and it is a very good fit for him. A small lumbar pillow does help for comfort ... show more

  • Quit working after just a few months
I specifically bought this chair after extensive research. I especially liked the dual motor design (which allows for independent movement of the footrest) and the heat/massage capability. The chair arrived quickly and was easy to assemble. It was not as sturdy as I had hoped and the leg rest was way too short for me (I'm 6' 0") but the chair was for my Dad (5' 9") and he didn't seem to mind. The chair worked perfectly for a few months and then the twin motors for reclining/lifting both stopped working. You could get them to move maybe a half a millimeter at a time. I disassembled everything and it magically began working again so I thought maybe we just had a pinched wire. After another month or so the same thing happened. This time, though, no amount of jiggling helped. I ordered a replacement remote and it did the trick. Again, though, after just a few weeks the same thing happened. I ordered a replacement remote this time, too, but after replacing the remote and jiggling all of the wires again nothing works. We have what amounts to a giant leather boat anchor stuck in a semi-reclined position. Great. Now the dual motors are useless and my Dad never once used the heat or massage capabilities. So much for my shopping research! I would strongly advise you to save yourself the $700 or so we have tied up in the chair, freight, tax, and replacement remotes and go with another brand. ... show more

  • Comfortable plus functional
Comfortable Feet and upper body can be adjusted separately Does lay flat for snoozing Vibration and lower back heating soothing wheels on back of chair help in moving the chair Protection stops on bottom protect solid floors also make it easy to move the chair cons Protection stops on bottom allow movement on solid floors in getting up and down, I just move the chair back to where it was but I could see this being a potential problem for someone with balance problems if chair moves to far while getting up and down while using the chair to lean on, probably ok on carpet or get some rubber covers since you where the stops are, overall for me I think there a plus Its slippery, covers slip off, I half to re-adjust every once in a while, cloth cover would be better The foot rest could come up a little higher Overall, its a good chair I will keep and recommend ... show more
