    • A whole lot of bass for not a whole lot of money!!!
Firstly I just don't wanted to mention Glen Snyder that is answering people's questions about this speaker. I would not pay his answers any mind whatsoever, he clearly doesn't know what he's talking about. My guess would be, he spent a whole bunch of money on some top of the line subs and heard these and got mad they sound better. Okay with that said, I purchased one of these subs at my local Walmart when they was remodeling and had so much stuff marked down to where they was nearly giving it away. I didn't really need the sub beings I already have a nice setup in both of my cars but I figured for $30 bucks why not try it. My other two setups is a pair of Type R DVC 12S wired at 2 ohms, and then my other setup is a single sundown 12 DVC also wired at 2 ohms. I decided to pull the two Alpines out and throw this sub in to see what it sounds like and I'm not disappointed at all. This single 12 hits almost as hard as my dual Alpines and the sound quality is pretty good as well. As long as you know how to tune your amp and are not running the subs at max gain because you don't know what your doing then they will hold up just fine. I'm powering this one with a kicker kx1200.1 and the subs handle the power fine. Just please let someone else setup your amp or get some help doing so if you don't know how and you will not be disappointed with this sub. ... show more

    • Pair two with an audiopipe 1500 in a car
BOOOOOOOM As of 2015 these WERE SUPER LOUD with excellent sound quality in a car. Hook two of them to an audiopipe 1500 mono block. Never blew them for 3 years then I sold the pair. They would handle this track called woofer cooker for long periods of time. Very durable. I'd use them at 2 ohms & 1 ohm with 1 battery first, then added a second battery which was just enough making my headlight dimming go away. The audiopipe 1500 is plenty of power for 2 of these, that amp rms is underrated. You can blow them with it if you want but my gain was set without a clipped signal never a single issue. Alternator at the time was a factory 120 amp to 2 standard car batteries. No issues. Just now purchased a new set. Unless defective and surely hooked up right...you cannot go wrong here. ... show more

Bought one of these at Walmart with the 2500 watt "perfect match" mono block amp by power acoustik. It's supposed to be a 2500 watt max/1200watt rms sub. I can't verify actual power output of amp or power handling of sub. But I had it wired 2ohm as the manual says it was capable of doing with the 2ohm mono block amp and it cooked it. So be weary of purchasing this. Sounded great while it lasted. Maybe don't wire it 2 ohm. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Good sub if you take the power rating with a grain of salt. The matching power acoustik 2500w amp only produces around 600w rms and that's truly all that you should put to this sub is 500w-600w rms and make sure your not clipping. That said it's good bang for the buck.
