Just bought this table and received a few days ago. Husband is handy and says it went together fine, better then Ikea (he hates). We have young kids so didn't want to spend alot as they are rough on stuff but wanted a nice table. I was pleased by the color, it looks better in person then online. Happy with the quality, chairs have decent cushions. We will see how the sets wears and if its bad I will update but I shopped for months for a table and choose this one because it was closest to the size I wanted ( I was actually looking for bigger slightly) the number of chairs, and the price. I wish it came it a grey washed look that is my only complaint but again I was okay once I saw it the color was okay for what it was. ... show more

This was a beautiful set, if it had been manufactured properly I would be in love with it. 5 of the 8 chairs had the predrilled holes drilled unevenly. This resulted in a significant wobble to the chairs, much more than could be fixed with some felt pads or the like. The table did have one small flaw that the table top bubbled up where the dowel was for the leaf. ... show more

    • Great quality for the price
We wanted this table, we looked at a lot of places for a solid wood table just like this. We were shocked at the price we found with Powell Furniture. This is worth the money. Honestly we looked at having a table made in Amish country to look similar to this and it was going to be $800 more than buying this one. We couldn't be happier and the fact that the leaf to the table folds into the table is wonderful, we don't have to find a way to store it.     • Scratches Very Easily
Good looking table but the top scratches very easily. It get a major scratch the first time we sat down for dinner. Also, the part to expand the table doesn't fit very well. Overall I would NOT recommend buying this table.

    • Sturdy table with a subtle "distressed" look
My wife and I purchased this table because we wanted something solid but not too expensive. The table itself looks very nice seems sturdy enough to hold up for many years. The table has a "distressed" look, but it is quite subtle. We almost mistook it for shipping damage until we realized that the pattern was identical on multiple chairs. As other reviewers for similar products have stated, this table was delivered with minor damage. The wood was split in several places on the tabletop. We feel this is partly the fault of the shipping company, since the box was heavily damaged and roughly handled. BEYOND stores provided excellent support and offered to pay to have a local furniture store repair the damage. We were quite happy with the overall value provided. One final note, look closely at the stock photo and you will see that it has been altered. The chair on the right side actually straddles the leg of the table, but the chair leg has been removed to make it appear that all three chairs can fit between the table legs. In reality, four chairs are required to straddle the table legs in the configuration shown. This is not a big deal for us, but worth mentioning. Overall, a very nice table for the price, and we highly recommend purchasing through BEYOND stores. ... show more

We had been looking at a similar table at Party Barn and were hoping to find something comparable at a lower price. This is exactly what I wanted and it is a good quality table.
