    • Amazing Couch - read on for pros and cons
Okay, so this couch is absolutely amazing. It sits higher than I thought, and it is a LOT bigger than I imagined. I live in a small one bedroom apartment in downtown Chicago and it takes up half of my living room. (I'm not complaining.) I was slightly worried because I live by myself and not near friends or family, and some of the reviews mentioned that they leave the furniture in the boxes curbside and tell you to "deal with it." Well, I think that is mostly because it is dependent upon the freight carrier. Mine called me when it arrived at their facility, we set up a time for drop off. I gave him specific instructions to go to the alley behind the building and my instructions were followed perfectly. Now, he even was willing to help me bring my furniture up to my apartment (no extra cost). So really, it depends on what freighter is bringing you your delivery. The only issue I had was getting the furniture out of the boxes (again this was my problem, I live in a small apartment). Assembly was easy. It only took me 30 minutes to have the couch fully assembled and in place. The most tedious and time consuming part was putting the feet onto the bottom of the couch. Some had problems finding the holes, but all of mine were visible. If you have an issue, just feel around for the hole and you can punch out the fabric with a pen or pencil to bolt in the feet. The sections also lined up perfectly, the pins snapped into place and I slid the couch into place. So here are the breakdowns of the pros and cons of the couch: Pros: It looks very very nice. It is firm and comfortable to sit on. There is enough room for 5-7 grown people to sit on. I can't speak to durability yet, however the faux leather appears to be extremely tough. I don't plan on taking any knives or blades to it, and it doesn't feel so tight that it will rip apart after use. I am 6'5 and I can lay out comfortable on this couch. The headrest on the end is very comfortable with a pillow and keeps you from folding pillows in half to prop your head up. I have a hardwood floor and area rug. A concern was the couch moving when I leaned up against it while sitting on the floor. The couch did not move. The little rubber feet on the bottom of the legs certainly help. This couch is so comfortable, I fell asleep on it during the first hour of testing it out. (slept for 4 hours, didn't even notice it) Cons: If you sit between the cushions, I found there to be a slight comfort issue. This isn't a big deal because there are a ton of places to comfortably sit. The headrests are a little tricky to work. The other reviews will tell you the same. It's faux leather. If you are constantly shirtless or lounge around your apartment in the buff, this couch will grab you and it will be like peeling your skin off when you try to get up - Especially on humid days. If you or any guests sleep on it, I recommend laying a blanket down underneath. My biggest issue was with the feet. this couch is hard to move with an area rug. The feet grab onto everything and make it difficult to slide. While this is great in keeping your couch in place, set up is a pain. But after you work through the set up and placement, it is sturdy and ready to be sat on. Hope this review helps! ... show more

    • Nice looking Sofa, Broke After 6 Months of Use. Very Poor Packaging!
Unfortunately I have to change my initial 4 star rating to 1 star. My sofa started ripping off within 6 months of normal use. Emailed Poundex and they sent replacement half. Now the replaced part again is ripping off after another 7 months. What a waste of money. I wish I had bought a sofa from a local store! Here is the original review that I wrote after using the sofa for 2 months: It's very good looking and comfortable. It's faux leather, that's why it does not feel great to sit on it bearskin. There is definitely a difference in touching the surface. Assembly was so easy, I don't know why people are complaining. My only complain would be packing the material, how lousy it was. I had two damaged deliveries, third one was okay with a medium hole under it. It is not visible but definitely a damage from handling. ... show more

I love the style and the amount of seating it offers BUT! The seat width in the direction the but to the thighs are lying on the seat, its short, if only it was a few more inches out it would be more comfortable. I dont mind the firmness either. And the other thing is the legs. I didnt bolt in all the nails yet but i still feel sketchy about it being 100% studry, but we'll see once O add the screws (the foundation didnt have holes to put the other screws so I have to buy a drill, to drill the nails through the legs, No biggie to me though) If you plan on having a lot of guest or have more than 2 people having to use the couch, i would strongly suggest you find a couch in stores, not this couch & honestly not online.     • Nice sofa, aweful delivery company!
I bought this sofa for a small apt I have & it looks great! I'm told it's holding up well to a family of three very nicely. They found it a bit stiffer than expected but says it's no problem & they're getting used to the feel of it. They also said it's very comfortable overall. At any rate, it's better than a sofa that loses it's firmness the first time you sit on it & then you have to deal with 'dips' left in every cushion. Excellent deal for the price! The only downside to this purchase is the company Amazon uses to deliver it. The 1st time it came in it had a huge whole in the box that of course went through to the couch. I truly think they sent it like that on purpose because of the trouble I had with them earlier over the phone - this is the Portland office I'm talking about. I have to admit the folks out of Texas handled the situation much better the 2nd time I had it delivered. Also, the driver himself was very nice & helpful but the company he works for bites! Avoid CEVA deliveries if you can!!! ... show more

    • Nice Faux Leather Sectional
I was pretty hesitant about buying furniture online, but this purchase turned out well. At least as nice looking in person as in the pictures. Definitely modern styling. The faux leather is not bad...pretty soft and seems durable and easy to clean. Very similar feel and texture to the faux leather you might find in a nice car. It was easy to assemble...only took an hour by myself. Very clear instructions. The sectional came in 2 large boxes which are VERY heavy. Each of them is over 100lbs. Unless you are super strong, you will definitely want someone to help you move them to where they need to go. Overall quality seems good. Couch arrived in good condition. No way to know yet, but it seems like it will be pretty durable. Good size...5 people could easily fit and be comfortable. On the longest part of the sectional, someone 7 feet tall could lay down with ease. One word of caution: This sectional is VERY firm. If you like soft and squishy couches, this is NOT the one for you. Personally, I like firm beds and couches so this works well for me. Laying down and taking a nap on the sectional is actually more comfortable than sitting on it. For the short time I've had the couch, it seems like it might soften up a bit over time. ... show more
