It holds a lot more than I thought it would, and I had no problem carrying a week's clothes and a pair of shoes. I took this backpack to a national park on a road trip and it did the job perfectly. The shoulder straps may not be as ergonomic as more expensive professional hiking bags, but they are still comfortable enough to justify the price.

I really like this backpack, but I used it the first time on a trip and the exterior, lower zipper seam came undone. Now there is an approximate 3 inch opening along the zipper. I sent a message to the company, but have not received a response and it is beyond the return window. I appreciate that the company reached out and rectified the issue. It is refreshing to see a company stand behind their product. I have changed my rating from 2 stars to 4 since it is a useful product. I appreciated that there is a zip pocket for shoes on the bottom. I used that pocket for my purse when boarding the plane. Very convenient.

It’s well made, has different compartments and also has a built in USB cord connection so you can use a battery pack inside to charge your phone outside the bag. Lots of good features. I don’t fly much so can’t speak to the airline size requirements.
