I wore it the day I came home from the hospital with my third baby and it did help me feel supported and more comfortable. It helped a lot with my back that was very sore. It was very easy to adjust to make tighter or looser. It does not look nice underneath clothing...sort of makes you look boxy. I only used it when I was at home with a tank top underneath it. I normally wear a 2x so I ordered a 3x. It worked out perfect for my post partum body. My baby is 3 months old now and I still wear it from time to time if my back is hurting.

I bought this to replace the binder I received at the hospital when I had my abdominal skin removal surgery (panniculectomy). The sizing runs SMALL but it's a great binder/support. I am 245 pounds and wear an XL/XXL in pants or a size 20 at Old Navy (sometimes an 18). I am an XL in tops. I ordered the 3X in the binder and it doesn't have much extra but is still great. It's summer and hot here, so I like that it's lighter with the mesh. Good quality, does it's job. Did smell a tiny bit when I got it, but it went away quickly.

Sadly, I find that this is not a good belt for any sort of recovery. I was given a "basic" waist binder by the hospital, and was hoping to "upgrade" to something more durable, so I got this one. I had abdominal surgery and had an organ removed, so keeping everything from moving around in there when I lean and walk really helps keep the internal pain to a minimum. This particular waist trimmer/binder/etc seems to run small - I bought a 2XL (XXL) and I normally wear 12-14 in US jeans sizes. It was only able to attach by half of the exposed velcro, leaving the other half rubbing against my skin and causing a lot of discomfort, so... absolutely order bigger sizing than you need. I would be returning it for a 3XL just to see if that is much better, however, save for the very front panel it felt kinda itchy on the other 80% of the area so I can't see myself wearing it when I sleep (which I do with the one the hospital gave me, reduces the pain from laying down and helps me sleep!). To its credit though, it did seem durable, and I liked the double closure to help it fit better.

I had limited options due to my size but this was great for this plus sized mom. Love that it has 2 layers. Great support and comfortable. Well made with strong Velcro. Doesn’t slip or come off. Really helped my back. Does fold some when sitting, so that’s the only reason it for 4 stars instead of 5.

I am a person who wears their clothes one size larger because I hate anything tight. That said I recently developed an inoperable surgical hernia and will need to wear support for basically the rest of my life. I don't look forward to that, however, having belts like this one will make it tolerable. I love being outside and this one although very wide is light weight and allows for a bit of breathing room. It's a good belt. I'll be ordering several more.

I am usually a size 16 and so I ended up buying 2 sizes up on this waist trimmer based on previous reviews. I bought the 3xl, and it was still to small. It's super irritating purchases something that isn't right on the fit but it's even worse when it's so far off on size that it still doesn't work. Very frustrating. If if would fit to size better than it would be amazing. It's great material and very sturdy, but cannot wear due to size

Purchased for post major abdominal surgery, guessed at the right size and having read several reviewers comments purchased a larger size than I expected I needed... and thank you to all those reviewers who shared, they were right! Size up in case you have extra swelling or bloating after a surgery... I found that this binder's description and measurements were easy to navigate and I did get the right size (as opposed to purchasing a different brand the "same" size at the same time - I returned that one as it was not sized as listed). I can highly recommend this binder if you have a small waist and wider hips or 'curves' because the two adjustable straps can be tightened to provide support. I found this feature to be extremely helpful to keep my swollen belly up and away from the large incision... I can highly recommend this binder to help with abdominal muscle support as well as to keep wound space protected while healing.

It folds, it crinkles, I want to love it but. You buy 2 of them if your torso is long. It is very breathable fabric. I dont like the second velcro pieces, it should be one solid piece not split. mamaway wrap has a very good design. I wish this wrap was designed more like mamaway
