This kit has everything you need to tattoo minus transfer gel. Everything you could possibly need comes within this stylish box, including thicker practice skin (not that paper-thin cheap stuff!). You even get a color wheel to help you mix 48 different colors and shades. Gloves, tape, ink cups, and even bibs to lay down. You get it all for a very competitive price! The cartridges feature colored caps to allow for quick identification of various groupings, a feature I really like. The bulkier housing is comfortable to hold, offering small concave portions on each side to rest your fingers. With that price in mind, it's important to have realistic expectations. You are not getting a high-level machine, but you are getting a machine that will give you a taste of tattooing. The display is easy to read, and the controls are intuitive, but it does feel cheap which should come as no surprise. It's adjusted based on voltage, and I found the simple readout to be refreshing instead of delving into frequency and other modes. I did find that it was slightly struggling with a fresh cartridge on lower voltages, but what I'll refer to as "jump starting" at a higher voltage to get things moving and then decreasing to your desired setting worked. It could just be a matter of breaking it in further. My one complaint that is honestly more preference-based is that it's a bit bulky towards the bottom, and I had to experiment with my grip to be able to pinch the cartridge (my preferred position). I really like to choke up on it, and the cylindrical shape makes that kind of hard. It is doable though! Note: I always recommend against using kit inks on real skin; tattoos are permanent and the quality can be iffy (I'm not saying that's the case here, but it's a general rule of thumb). These absolutely serve the purpose for practicing! If you're going to tattoo flesh, invest in quality inks.

If you have been wanting to dive into the world of tattooing but didn’t know where to start, this Poseidon kit is the perfect gateway. It arrives beautifully packaged and looks exactly as described and pictured. Right out of the box, you get absolutely everything you need to begin your journey, including a solid instruction booklet and a convenient code to access helpful video tutorials. It is incredibly beginner-friendly and easy to assemble—you can literally get to work the moment it arrives (just make sure you thoroughly sanitize your hands, equipment, and workspace first, as per the guide!). Here are the major highlights from unboxing and testing this kit: Premium, Realistic Fake Skin: One of the absolute best parts of this kit is the practice skin. Unlike the paper-thin, useless fake skins bundled with other starter kits, this one is truly thick and realistic. It allows you to actually judge your needle depth and adjust your technique accordingly. You genuinely get better results practicing on a single piece of this high-quality skin than a massive bulk pack of the thin stuff. Total Wireless Freedom: The machine itself is completely wireless, making it incredibly easy to handle and maneuver without a bulky cord dragging on your hand. What’s Left Out: The kit doesn't include numbing cream, aftercare bandages/ointments, or the Vaseline needed during live sessions—but since this is a practice setup, you don't need any of that just yet anyway. That is for further down the road! Please keep in mind that the tattoo ink included in this package is ONLY FOR PRACTICING ON FAKE SKIN. Do not use it on actual human skin! I mean, you can.... But it will either not stay in or possibly give you an infection...or just hurt a lot. be warned. For the low, budget-friendly price point, you really cannot beat the value of this package. It gives you the perfect, low-risk setup to start creating the art you've always wanted to do. Also, feels like it wont break if you drop it. Highly recommended for any aspiring artist.

I have not used this on a person and probably never will since I do not have any tattoos myself. I was mostly curious about how these machines work so I picked it up to practice on the included practice skin. For that purpose it seems like a complete starter kit with just about everything needed to get started. The quality of the machine feels better than I expected. It has a comfortable ergonomic design and is lightweight which should make it easier to control during longer practice sessions. The battery charges up and the cordless design makes it convenient to handle without a cable getting in the way. The kit also includes a nice variety of accessories including ink needles cups gloves transfer paper and practice skin which adds to the value for money. Since I am a beginner I cannot judge how it compares to professional equipment or comment on long term durability. Based on my first impressions though everything appears well packaged and ready to use. For someone wanting to practice or learn the basics this looks like a good entry level kit.

This was such a cool grab! What a cool brand name too… Poseidon. I won’t personally be using it, but I immediately thought of someone I know who would absolutely love this. I love tattoos but I like getting them, not doing them haha. As soon as I opened it, I could tell it would make a really fun gift for someone who has been curious about tattooing or wants to experiment and learn the basics. Since I read that this set wouldn’t be for a professional tattooer, but more of an apprentice I knew this would be perfect. It’s def like a true starter kit. It comes with a bunch of supplies like the wireless tattoo pen, needles, ink, and other accessories, so you have a lot of what you need right out of the box. Everything is packaged nicely, and it’s exciting to see how much is included!!! It was even fun just looking inside the box haha For anyone wondering what something like this is useful for, it’s basically designed to help beginners learn and practice tattoo techniques. It’s great for practicing line work, shading, getting comfortable handling a tattoo machine, and experimenting on practice skin before moving on to anything more advanced. It gives someone the opportunity to explore a creative hobby and see if tattooing is something they genuinely enjoy. How cool is that though??!? The wireless design is especially cool because it makes everything feel more convenient and less cluttered. Not having cords everywhere is definitely a plus!!! The rechargeable battery is another nice feature, especially for someone who wants to spend time practicing without constantly worrying about charging. Again, I won’t be using this myself, but I know someone who can sincerely appreciate it, and I can’t wait to gift it to them. I think they’re going to have a lot of fun playing around with it and learning how everything works.
