I bought this because I needed a way to have a backup camera and a dash cam (Portland drivers are horrendous) without having all the extra dangling wires. The instructions were easy to follow and the installation was pretty straightforward. I was really surprised at how fast the shipping was too. The suction cup that mounts the screen is strong and seems well-constructed. The camera clarity is clear and doesn't have the glare like other dash cams I've had in the past. I appreciate the power plug having additional usb slots so I can still charge my phone. Now the really good part: It connects to android auto WIRELESSLY! I was scared because I saw the reviews of other brands saying they are Android compatible but mostly only work well with iOS. I took a chance on this one and am glad I did. I had no problem connecting it to my pixel 7 pro. The screen is clear and pretty snappy. All the usual Android apps so far work well, especially Spotify and Waze. The media could not be loaded. We have a built in GPS in our car but we can’t use it as a screen to play videos for our kids while driving. We wanted something that allowed us to play videos while driving that was smarter than an old school portable dvd player but cost less than a tablet so we bought this. We can Airplay and mirror our phone to the device and play a video. When the kids aren’t using it you can mount it near your windshield, put in an SD card and it can record in the event of a collision. The installation is straightforward. This CarPlay has been a great addition to my Toyota Corolla! I don’t have Bluetooth in my car so I use the Aux connection and FNM transmitter. The audio is clear and there’s no static at all. I had some questions with the setup so I reached out to customer support for help. They were very helpful, quick and provided me with tutorial videos. I am an Uber driver and have found this unit to be helpful, it also comes with a 3 in 1 charger and a multi port that my passengers have been thankful for.
