    • Great product, terrible touch screen
So I really like induction, which is an unpopular opinion, but I find it safer with little hands around touching things. This is super nice for a small area, camping or even sending away to college with your kid. The cook top itself only works with certain pans so they would be able to make mac and cheese but also not try to make s'mores at 3am and set off the fire alarm. It heats up quickly and would be super versatile for a lot of different lifestyles. Would be a great camping stove if you had access to energy as it is a plug in. I have a huge complaint about the control screen though, it is a pain in the butt to use. It regularly hits the button next to the one I am trying to press and I always waste an extra minute trying to get it started. Once it is sorted there is no issue but the touch screen could be way better. For 70$ it is pretty inexpensive compared to come of the similar products on the market and is a decent option. Overall they touch screen is the worst part but everything else feels good quality ... show more

    • Responsive induction burner that delivers what I need
Our kitchen stove is an ancient electric model that takes forever to reach temperature, so I started using an induction hob. The improvement in heat control was so dramatic that I wanted a second one so I could cook with more than one pot or pan at a time. This Jollyone single burner looks sleek on the countertop and works beautifully. I tested how long it would take to boil 16 oz of water in a 64 oz pot, and it hit a full boil in under 2 minutes at 1600 watts, which is the default setting, and the same wattage I use on my other hob. Temperature changes are instant; tapping the buttons to raise or lower wattage produces immediate results. I don’t rely much on the temperature display (it’s essentially a wattage‑to‑temperature estimate), but the rapid heating and precise control are extremely useful, especially in a household like ours that doesn’t have a microwave. Reheating shredded chicken with a splash of broth took under 5 minutes, which is comparable to our old microwave, and this hob takes far less space. Cleanup is straightforward; a quick wiping down is all that's needed unless the bottom of the pot or pan had something on it or something spattered onto the surface. A toothbrush works great at cleaning the gap between the cooking surface and the control panel. I've discovered that it's well-worth the price to purchase cleaners specifically designed to keep induction cooktops clean. I’m really impressed with this portable induction cooktop. The 1800W burner heats up quickly and the touch controls are easy to use once you get familiar with them. I especially like having 12 temperature settings and the 3-hour timer, which makes cooking a lot more convenient. The compact design is perfect for extra cooking space in the kitchen, and I can see this being especially useful in an RV, dorm, or small apartment. The child lock is also a nice safety feature. Overall, it’s a convenient and versatile little cooktop that performs well and doesn’t take up much counter space. I’m very happy with it and would definitely recommend it.
