This is a pretty standard induction cooktop, it's 1800W which is what my other countertop burner is, so I had something to compare it to. It's about the same size but after trying this, I like my original one better. This isn't bad but I found the buttons not as nice to push as my other burner. I also prefer having a full lit up lcd screen. And the temp/cooking controls are a little finicky, as it doesn't seem to be able to hold a temperature steady. It's like cooking in an oven that is set to 350 degrees and half the time being 300 and the other half 400. Overall, a decent choice but I'm sticking to my other burner for now.

Highly Recommend Pros: -Fast and efficient heating: 6 minutes flat to boil 5 C of water, compared to my gas stove that took 8:10 minutes to boil 5 C of water -Child Lock! -Sleek design -Low profile for easy storing, but large enough for larger pots -Touch screen buttons that aren’t too touchy -Heat admission stops as soon as power button is touched, as seen in video Cons -Fan isn’t subtle -Took 9 minutes for “H”, hot warning indicator to turn off The cons weren’t deal breakers for me and were to be expected with any portable induction cooktop. I am excited to have this little stove for daily use this summer since my GE gas oven and stove emit so much heat, and for the extra space to cook this summer with company visiting.

This inductions cooktop is just ok. On the plus side it looks nice with a smooth black top and touch controls. But it really doesn’t work as well as it should. It boils 2 cups of water initially at 55 F in a 10 inch induction rated pan in about 2 and a half minutes on the maximum 1800 setting, which is decent but not much faster than my 1000 watt microwave. I hooked up my watt meter and it only draws 1650 watts at the maximum setting. At each setting down to 1200 watts it draws about 200 watts less than the set value. Interestingly at the 1000 setting it draws 1150 watts. At lower power settings it cycles the power from 0 to about 700 watts every 10 seconds. This makes it hard to maintain a simmer when cooking. The heating coil size is visible when boiling water and it appears to be about 6 inches so the edges of a 10 inch pan do not get heated very well. The temperature mode works but the temperature swings about 15 degrees between on and off cycles which are from 20 to 60 seconds long. The temperature settings are also too high by about 15 F, so when set to 180 water continuously boils. I can compensate for the higher temperatures but the 15 F swings and long cycles are just too big to be useful. For less money you can get a better working cooktop with more and better heat and temperature controls - Duxtop comes to mind.

I. Had some reservations about getting this Zonohm portable induction cooktop burner. I have a flattop glass cooktop stove which I hate because it is not an induction cooktop. But the Zonohm single induction burner is great. I have the proper cookware to use so I was impressed as to how easy the burner was to use. I have run it through its paces from defrosting a frozen container of chili to simmering homemade spaghetti sauce all day to deep frying chicken cutlets. The temperature setting is easy to use in the Fahrenheit setting because you can set it to simmer or crank it up to deep fry. The burner is supposed to be cool to the touch but there is some transfer of heat from the cookware to the cooking surface. Since the wattage drawn is under 1800 watts you should not have any electrical circuit problems since most kitchen outlets are designed to handle it. The cord on the induction cooktop is 4 foot long. I would suggest that if you are using it at a campsite and you have to use an extension cord that you use a heavy duty extension cord. A #12 gauge appliance extension cord would be what I would recommend.

The induction cooktop is very and durable. It has a nice sleak look. It heats up fast and has different settings and it's easy to move around so you cook in different areas if you need to. I can say it works really well and it's perfect if you need more cooking space especially for the holidays.

I got this to be able to do some light cooking outside of a kitchen and to stage some instructional cooking where its better for everyone to be able to see rather than crowd around a stove. Its small, fairly light weight, and looks nice. Plugging it in and operating it is very easy. I found that if you're just going for a general temperature area it works fine. I was able to boil water for pasta, get a sauce pan heated up for sauteing, and was able to cook chicken in a fry pan. The induction heater worked well with my induction safe cookware. Other reviews mentioned the wattage and temperature varying, and I did not do a detailed enough assessment to confirm but I would take their word for it. Basically get this if you value convenience and portability, but if you're looking for precision you should get something from a more reputable company.
