I had been wanting a clothes steamer. I am one of those people who don’t fold their clothes immediately when they come out of the dryer and I practically live out of my laundry baskets. Ironing my clothes is a joke to me, honestly. But my (regular, mostly cotton) shirts would get wrinkled sitting in the basket and who wants to look disheveled or unprofessional? This was an impulse buy at first, due to the price on Prime Day. The reviews didn't seem too bad, so I thought I would try it. It comes with instructions, but is pretty self explanatory. I saw one review about it getting "stuck" and not folding back down before I bought it. When I got it, there's clearly a button to hold to collapse it for travel, so that seamed (see what I did there? Lol) like user error by that rater. The button moves freely for me, so no concern about folding it down and packing it. I fill it up the tank easily in the sink to the fill line with cold water and it takes “maybe” 30-45 seconds to heat up - it’s quick. This steamer does not have an off or on switch, so it starts heating up as soon as it’s plugged in, so it should always be unplugged when not in use and to cool it down before packing it away. It gets hot pretty quick and starts making “steaming noises” when it’s ready, you would know. It does have a button that you hold down when actively using it on your clothes. I did find that if you go to use it immediately, it “spits” out drops of water before it becomes an even stream. I saw a few complaints about that after buying it, but I just give it a few test squeezes into the air to get some of the "spittle" out. After that, it is an even stream of steam and works exactly as expected. The reservoir is small, so it’s not for a whole wardrobe (obviously), but perfect for a shirt or two. The cord is pretty short, so do take that into consideration if it matters to you. I just plug it into the outlet by my bathroom door, hang my shirt up on the door via a clothes hanger, and steam them. So far no burning of clothes or any issues. I have not traveled yet with it, but it is small enough to take (kind of the size of the hair dryers you find in hotels). I’ve used it about 6 times now already, no issues, or complaints! Extra: I planned to take this on a cruise vacation, but found out Carnival Cruise Lines do not allow personal clothes steamers, so, while I did not know that before buying it, that is not their fault, nor do I regret the buy. Overall this is a good product. I hate ironing and was hoping this would get me out of it. Alas, no luck! The steamer is super easy to use, but the time it took to steam out a cotton shirt was a little longer than it would have taken me to just break down and pull out the ironing board & iron and just iron the darn thing. While I wouldn't use this product as a substitute for ironing, I can see this being very useful for "touch-ups" on garments that have already been ironed. With a little work it did smooth out collars, cuffs, and hems to an acceptable point...which is no small feat without an actual iron. Also, it is pretty compact so could be useful for traveling to do touch-ups on the road as well. So, if you are looking for a replacement for ironing or sending your clothes to the dry cleaner, this is not it. If you are looking for a quick, easy alternative to pulling out the iron just for some touch ups or rolling the dice that your hotel room will have a decent iron, this would be a good alteranteive. ... show more

I hate getting out the iron and ironing board, so I was happy to run across this little steamer on Prime day. It does a great job getting out wrinkles in most fabrics I've tried it on so far. It's light weight and heats up quickly. You have to get really close to the fabric. My only qualm is that the water tank is so small, that I have to stop and refill it a couple of times, even when I'm just doing 4 or 5 pieces of clothing. But I guess that's what keeps this unit small, good for travel, and light weight. Also, keep in mind that this steamer doesn't press, so it's not good for ironing down pleats, cuffs, or collars that have lost their shape. It's just for getting rid of wrinkles. ... show more

So far I've only used the steamer 2 times and it has been pretty easy to use. Some reviews say that it is hard to open and close the folded head but I would probably say that if that happens to contact the seller immediately. It really is easy to fold and unfold. The steamer itself reminds me of the steam feature on my iron and works roughly the same way. BE VERY CAREFUL! It does get so very hot. And it does take time for it to cool down so DON'T store it away immediately. It really does need to to cool down completely. I think I had to wait at least 30 minutes for it to cool. Again, I've only used the product twice so if I have any other problems in the coming months I will update my review. But for now, it is worth the buy. ... show more

I have just tried out this steamer for the first time. It definitely steams a garment well most likely due to the multiple steam holes. I steamed a long, flowy nylon skirt and a men’s short sleeve cotton dress shirt. The skirt came out wrinkle free. The shirt was presentable, but not the crisp look you would get from an iron. When I first used the steamer, there was water coming out onto the shirt, but after a minute or so, that didn’t happen anymore. It is easy to use and folds up easily for storage or travel. My one complaint is the length of the cord. It is very short so you have to be steaming very close to an outlet or use an extension cord. I compared this steamer to the one my daughter just bought off Amazon and this steamed much, much better than hers. Overall, a good purchase. ... show more
