My mother wanted a lazy susan for Christmas this year and sent me a photo of a wooden one she saw at Target for around 20 dollars. When I looked at it, it looked like it wouldn't last very long so I came on here to Amazon and went in search of a different product. After all, I only have one mother and I wanted to get her something nice for the holiday. I stumbled upon this. I'm usually hesitant to order without any customer reviews (hence why I added one now) and especially something with moving parts over the internet but I rolled the dice and went for it. I was not disappointed. First of all, this lazy susan reached me in just a couple of days. I ordered this at the same time I ordered a bunch of stuff from Amazon itself. This seller beat them in terms of delivery speed. I was very impressed. Second, the piece is beautiful! It is so nicely finished and I rubbed the surface all over and not a rough splintered edge to be found. Some of the other lazy susans had customer reviews that the piece was not finished. This piece has a very nice finish to it. You should be able to take it straight out of the box and use it immediately. Third, the piece is indeed authentic wood. It does not look exactly like the picture but that should be expected as real wood is not uniform. I personally like that because it makes the gift I am giving unique as opposed to something generic. Fourth, the moving parts are all metal. The metal is thick enough to seem sturdy but not so thick to be apparent from normal viewing angles. So overall to me, this piece seems like it's more than worth the money. Looking at it right now it seems to be an item that is not only beautiful but sturdy enough to withstand the test of time. I will update if and when she ever has trouble with it.

I bought all three Ryu Mei tin available on Amazon... this green Hana Nishiki for green tea, the black Kouetsu Kouetsu Japanese Green Tea Metal Tin [ Black ] for Pu-erh and the brown Kouetsu Kouetsu Japanese Green Tea Metal Tin [ Brown ]for Roiboos. These Ryu Mei tins hold 6-8 oz of tea, which means they do not need to be refilled every third day. The inner plastic cap with a pull tab should help ensure the tea stays fresher longer. These tins are extremely well made and very classy looking, and surpass anything I have seen on Teavana. (The Teavana "washi" tins (covered in washi paper)are lovely but you cannot even choose a specific style. Instead, they assure you that they "will pick a beautiful one for your teas". Right!) If you want not only other colors and designs, but other types of tins, visit the Ryu Mei web site for a very large selection. Besides which, they waste no time getting your order out. I received my tea tins on the third day, well packaged in a box. I am absolutely delighted with this purchase Pl. note that Amazon seems to have added several more of these delightful tea tins from Ryu Mei since I bought mine, and I have added a couple more to my wish list :)

This knife is a work of art. It is very beautiful and light and also fits nicely in a hand. When it comes out of the box, it does not feel that sharp because of the coating on it, but it is really razor sharp. It seems that the structure of this knife is similar to a katana: it has hard carbon steel core, which is wrapped in a softer steel on top. I noticed that patina formed on the cutting edge of the blade immediately upon use and wash. I did dry it right after, but it looks like patina form from the food I cut. So this knife will probably require good care and maintenance, but it is definitely worth it! It should last a lifetime with proper care. Working with the knife is a pleasure. I really love it. Also, one free sharpening service is provided with the knife if you send it back to the smith (mine had a coupon in the box).

This board is beautiful! The delivery was reasonable and FAST. I have dealt with their Customer Service department and they are totally out to please us. (Just an aside) If you want to have this personalized for yourself or as a gift, choose "send as gift" and you will be able to enter your personalization at some point during checkout, they are updating their listing to reflect these instructions. I am totally impressed with the included instructions which explain the care of these products in a concise and easy to follow way. They also included mineral oil making it even easier and more cost effective to care for the wood. (The bubble wrapped mineral oil settled to the bottom of the packaging, so be careful not throw it out with the box.) I am sure this board will keep it's beauty for years to come (if I treat it right) and my knives will be very happy cutting on it. I don't know if you can tell...But I am quite pleased, even elated with the quality and beauty of this product but even more impressed with their customer service practices. I would definitely buy these as gifts in the future.

These are a very chocolate dark brown, my husband thought they were black. I had hoped they'd be a little bit lighter, but that's okay as we keep them pulled back to the sides. They are not light or cheap feeling. They have some weight to them. Appear to be stitched well, and the panel that faces outside is black. I ordered a few of these so my entire downstairs would match. They do have a bit of a funky smell at first, but it goes away pretty fast. They feel similar to soft leather and definately block out the light when drawn closed. Appear to be easy to clean by just wiping them down with a damp rag. Sure, they aren't real leather, but we've mixed them in with high end leather furniture and they work well. I don't think anyone would ever question them being 'fake'. I'm quite pleased with this purchase!
