I was skeptical at first, because of the amount of reviews, the npc-like descriptions, and majority of them being good, but I took the gamble. I'm very impressed by this portable AC. Price, is awesome. Super affordable, in terms of portable ACs. It's as noisy as expected from an AC, but definitely more quiet than any other I've owned. The installation was extremely easy and straight forward. It looks very sleek, and isn't too big. It has wheels, so it's SUPER easy to move, as long as you aren't going up or down stairs of course. Best of all though, the cooling is STRONG. I'm not sure how big my basement is, but it has a living area, and 2 rooms. The AC is in one of the rooms, and definitely cools the room its in, and the living room area, no problems. I would definitely recommend getting this thing if you're looking for a good, affordable portable AC. I mean, I shopped around, and the price and BTU on this thing blows all of the retail stores products out of the water. Get it while you can people!

I just got this unit and have been using it for a few days in my bedroom. Setup was straightforward and everything needed for the window installation was included. It took me less than 20 minutes to get it running. The cooling performance has been better than I expected. My room gets pretty warm in the afternoon, and this AC cools it down much faster than a regular fan. I also like that it has fan and dehumidifier modes, which makes it useful beyond just summer. The remote control is convenient, and the sleep mode is nice at night because it keeps the room comfortable without constantly adjusting the temperature. The noise level is noticeable but reasonable for a portable air conditioner. Overall, for the price, I think this is a great value. So far I’m happy with the purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable portable AC for a bedroom or small living space.

Product arrived in good condition, set-up was easy. Installation was interesting. The unit filled up a two-gallon container in a day and a half, it had been hot and the rain had been on going, so humidity was definitely an issue. The unit did in fact cool the area purchased for in a reasonable amount of time. The sweep setting works well. Overall, the unit was worth the investment. After a while, I drilled a hole under neath the window, attached a pieced of quarter inch PVC pipe so it would drain outside the window. The remote-control functions well and is easy to use. The unit is quieter than the window unit it replaced.

I purchased this because my husky puppy just can't sleep because he is hot so he keeps my other doggie and me awake. I got this and put it in my smallest bedroom. Since that installation we all sleep soundly the entire night..I've gotten some of the best sleep I've ever had since I started using this unit. Only thing is it sounds like it's about to fall apart and it's very loud but it faithfully blows cold air in our little room all night long and I sleep better with a steady noise. I had to cut the window insert so installation took a bit longer. I also wish the fan would run all the time instead of being auto. Even so I would recommend. It's easy to use and it works.

This portable air conditioner has been one of the better ones I've purchased. It has good fan speed,high and low, and the unit put out a bunch of cold air. You can adjust the air flow louvers to the desired direction, up or down. The remote control works great and it has controls on the top of the unit in case you misplaced the remote. The drain is on the bottom, so I have my unit on a plastic carton. I think the noise level could be quieter, but it's not too loud. Beside cooling, it can also be a dehumidifier and there you can also set a timer to turn the unit off. All in all, I couldn't be happier with the air conditioner. Where I have this placed is furthest away from my main A/C unit, so something like this is a must for the summer.

I couldn't give it less than 4 starts because it does cool the recommended size space very well and the price is right. That said, it backfeeds heat significantly. I happened to install two different brands in different rooms at the same time, this one in the bedroom. I noticed on the hotter days that the bedroom would become concerningly warm in the late afternoon / early evening. My central air has been less than spectacular lately so I assumed it was just that, but when going to drain the unit today (it had been off all day) as I got behind the unit, the air was a lot warmer than the already warm bedroom. The other unit (a TCL) doesn't have this problem at all. I just figured this out so can't recommend a fix yet but I imagine it will involve some sort of cap for the window kit hole and I'll just have to disconnect it and cap that hole when it is not in use. Otherwise it is quite effective. I used it for several hours a day for several days before it required emptying the reservoir. Installation is an outright PITA if your window has a lip - plan a trip to the harware store and some macgyver level ingenuity. I don't know why these window kits aren't just an inch taller under the hole to accomodate this. For the price, I'm keeping it, but I'm not sure I'd buy it again.
