    • Easy to setup and quiet (sometimes).

Well packaged, easy to setup (15-20 min.), and it's lot quieter than my previous window mount unit. The things I don't like are the remote, follow me function, and the window kit weather stripping which is why I gave it 4/5 stars. The remote isn't backlit and the icons are very hard to see. I looked through the manual and didn't see an option to turn it on but I could have missed it. The follow me function doesn't control the room temperature very well. This unit is in a small bedroom I use as an office. I have two computers going and it tends to heat up pretty quick. I turned the follow me function on and put the remote on the opposite side of the room. In this mode, the remote sends an update every 20 minutes. If I set the AC temp at 77 F, the room will heat up to around 80-82 F before the AC kicks on (sometimes the fan stays running, sometimes it stops). Once the AC kicks on it will cool the room down to 75 F which is colder than the setpoint of 77 F. So I keep getting these temperature swings of either to hot or to cold. If I could adjust the update rate to 10 minutes I think the temperature control would work a lot better. The window kit frame and hose is good but the included weather stripping isn't. The wide thin stuff with the sticky side is twice the width of the window kit frame and the dark grey foam stuff is a joke. After installation, there's still a small gap between the side of the window kit frame that touches the window. I think that the sticky weather stripping should have been 1/2"x1/2" instead of 1 1/2"x 1/16" so I'm going to replace that. Bottom line, it's a good AC unit for the price and I'm happy with the purchase. -Update (after about a month of use) When the fan is running it's fine but when the fan is running and the AC compressor kicks in there is a rattle coming from the inside back left middle area of the unit. I've tried removing the filter cover and pressing around the area but I can't make it go away. It gets pretty annoying if I don't have my headphones on so I may have to dive in a bit deeper. Yesterday, after running the unit a little harder (cooling set at 72 F vs 77 F) the internal storage tank filled up after running for a couple of hours. I was surprised how small the internal storage tank is when I drained it so I may have to setup the continuous draining method if it becomes a regular occurrence. ... show more

I decided to use this air conditioner for all three warm seasons this year before writing this review. From mid spring to mid fall, we used this to cool our kitchen. It worked so incredibly well. It’s not very loud, it was very easy to install, it keeps the whole room cool and it had absolutely no issues all year long. I have zero complaints about this air conditioner. This a/c is a perfect option for people who are renting in an apartment building, because the only thing you need is a window and 10 or 15 minutes for install. It’s adjustable to fit in multiple sizes of window. I am always on the lookout for products that can improve my daily life, offering convenience, quality, and innovation. In line with these values, I recently acquired an incredible air conditioner that has exceeded my expectations. The installation process was a breeze, thanks to the well-designed packaging and clear instructions. Within 15-20 minutes, I had the unit up and running smoothly, a task made even easier by its compact size. Unlike my previous window mount unit, this one is impressively quiet, allowing me to work or relax without any disruptive noise. While the overall performance of the air conditioner is commendable, there are a few minor aspects that could be improved. Firstly, the remote control could benefit from backlighting, as the icons are quite hard to see in dim lighting. I thoroughly checked the manual, but unfortunately, there was no option to activate this feature. Despite this drawback, the remote still functions well and enables me to adjust the settings from a distance. Another area for improvement is the "follow me" function, which regulates the room temperature. In my small office-turned-bedroom, I often have multiple computers running, causing the room to heat up quickly. Activating the "follow me" function and placing the remote on the opposite side of the room was meant to provide better temperature control. However, I noticed that the updates were too infrequent, resulting in temperature swings. Adjusting the update rate to 10 minutes would greatly enhance the effectiveness of this feature. Regarding the window kit, the frame and hose are of good quality, but the included weather stripping falls short. The wide thin strips are too large compared to the window kit frame, and the dark grey foam strips are ineffective. After installation, a small gap remained between the window kit frame and the window itself. I plan to replace the inadequate weather stripping with a more suitable alternative. Despite these minor issues, I find this air conditioner to be a worthwhile investment, offering excellent value for the price. Its ability to cool a large bedroom efficiently and quickly makes it ideal for apartment living, where traditional window units are not feasible. Moreover, the added advantage of being easy to install and remove, thanks to the simple panel design, further enhances its convenience. In conclusion, this air conditioner has proven to be a game-changer for me. It aligns perfectly with my desire for high-quality, versatile products that enhance my daily life. With its exceptional cooling performance, quiet operation, and thoughtful features like the remote control, this unit has become an essential part of my home. Easy to install, came with everything needed. It's easy to use and it effectively cools my home office. However, its very loud. A lot louder than the 53db it claims in sleep mode. I'm registering 68db in sleep mode, 70db on low, and 78 db on high; all were measured outside of the air flow path so the flow of air wasn't adding to the noise on the mic.
