Wow! I really can’t believe this works! I bought for my bedroom based on the great reviews but was still skeptical that something so reasonably priced would work for me. I hate humidity and was pretty sure an air conditioner that works by evaporating water would bug me. But it doesn’t! And it works great! The directions are a little hard to follow so here are some tips: Put the black black frame thing on top of the big, bottom water tank before you set the top half of the A/C on it and it will then snap together. If you notice a black motor/pump having out of the bottom of the upper part of the a/c, that’s ok. It’s supposed to dangle into the big water tank. The top part of the a/c contains the trough you will use to fill the unit. It is two-tiered. When you fill the unit, water goes in the lower-half/bigger half of the trough. (2) The water will drain down to the tank - but slowly so you have to stand there and fill it the first time bit-by-bit 3) It’s ok if water gets in that top part of the trough area with the little round holes (4) The lower trough area is where you put the frozen bottles, 2-at-a-time, (5) Yes, there will be water in the trough area flowing around those bottles and overflowing into the upper trough area (that’s supposed to happen). Don’t let the tank run out. If you fill it before bed, it will last all night easily. The frozen things last 2-3 hours depending on how hot it is where you are. They give you 6 so you can just exchange them as needed. Yes, it works without the frozen things. The frozen things just add a nice boost of cold during very hot days. You can run it with your windows open. You can run it with your door open. It doesn’t adjust itself based on the ambient temperature around it. It gives more cooling if the fan is faster, just like a regular fan. It won’t use more energy either way. If you have very hot air coming in the windows, the room won’t cool as well, obviously. But if you’re like me and it’s in the 60s outside and you want fresh air at night but still want cold air on you to sleep, run it! It’s great! ... show more

I absolutely love this air conditioner it keeps my room nice and cold. The air feels so nice and crisp. It has a remote control and is very easy to use! One of the other things that I love are the wheels so you can move it anywhere in the room you want. I love this system!
