Replaced 14 year old unit with this 10,000 btu one. Quiet, and much more efficient. Even in low fan mode it cools off my 300 sq ft office in 30 minutes or so. I live in Las Vegas where temperatures in the summer are consistently in the 105-115 degree range. This week temperatures are in the 115-120s. Nice to have a portable unit in the office so I dont need to cool the whole house, while working in the office. Installation was very easy, and all of the window inserts, duct hoses were included. Remote is basic but works. Recommend this unit for a small room.

I was skeptical about replacing my window air unit with a portable unit. I was worried that it would take up too much space on the floor. However, the unit is very compact and fits nicely in my room. It blows cold and is quiet. Very easy to set up.

Ineffective: I got the 10,000 BTU unit which claims to be able to cool up to 450 sq ft. This thing is unable to cool my 144 sq ft bedroom. I had it on max cooling settings (61F + Hi-fan) for 4 hours straight and my room is still above 85 degrees. I am still sweating from how hot my room is. I have to stand directly in front of the fan in order to feel any cooling. Inefficient: Massive amounts of heat leak out of the heat pipe. I was wondering why I kept feeling waves of hot air when I moved around the room. It's because of the radiating heat from the pipe. I tried covering the pipe with aluminum foil which helped a bit. But come on, this amount of heat leakage is insane. You're essentially heating and cooling at the same time. Noisy: The product listing description is blatantly lying about 52db. Imagine the booming hum of those old refrigerators. It's that for almost every setting. It's either loud or very loud. Deserves at least 1-star for its decently easy setup and working remote. I have no idea how this product is getting 5-star reviews. It is failing to do exactly its purpose. Please review this product honestly and critically so it helps other shoppers.

We purchased the Coolblus Portable Air Conditioner to have as a backup incase of an emergency. This unit gets very cool and maintains the temperature to what you set it at. We have it in a 400sqft room with tall ceiling and it does great! This unit also comes with a remote. The Unit has a clear drain tube that removes the water from the air, you will want to have something to collect this water into. This has an Automatic Shut Off. The Coolblus is not loud and is very comfortable to sleep around. You will definitely not be disappointed in this purchase!!!

Like the title says, it does what it's supposed to do! Works great, setup was easy and it cools very well. Only took about 20 minutes to cool to 70 from 95. The only reason I took a star off, was because the drainage is annoying and I had to rig it so I didn't have to constantly dump a bucket of water out. Remote control is a plus and works just fine but seems cheap and lightweight but that's not a big deal. At any rate, great product!

We live in stifling hot Arizona. I have central air, but it can use some help in my south facing rooms that also get heated by the direct sunlight. My master bedroom is one of these rooms. In July when daily temps are 110 or more, my central air struggles to keep the house at 80. When we go to bed, our room is often still up at 82 or more. While I would love to be able to get an energy audit and a newer and more efficient HVAC unit, that's not in our financial cards right now. So, I supplemented the A/C in our room with this portable unit. Even though our room is within the square footage quoted, it also seems to struggle against the intense heat and sunlight. The even bigger issue is the air exhaust hose fits poorly on both ends - the window vent and the attachment to the unit. The hose pops off repeatedly, pouring hot exhaust back into the room. Even when it stays attached for a few hours at a time, the hose radiates heat back into the room and is warm, almost hot to the touch. So much, that I had to order an exhaust hose insulating wrap. This helps, but the weight of the wrap makes the hose fall off the connections to the unit and the window vent even more often. To address this, I taped the connections, but my household packing tape dried up from the heat and the hose started falling off again. So, now I have a velcro strap around it and I've ordered special heat resistent HVAC tape to jerryrig in place an exhaust hose that should have been better designed to stay connected in the first place! Even if this A/C unit was fantastic (I would say it's average), the hose issue is frustrating enough for me to recommend looking for some better option. My opinion is its a poor value as is, but could be a good value if the exhaust hose was better designed.

We have a old house with no A/C so this was nice to use during the summer. You just have to pop the tube into a window and other than that there is not much else to do. It did get our 10x12 basement room down to 65 degrees. Occasionally I had to empty the water build up but the instructions were clear and it was only monthly upkeep. It is pretty quiet for being inside my bedroom, no louder than a white noise machine to sleep.

I have 2 AC units on my travel trailer, but with no shade in the 100° heat, they couldn't keep my living quarters below 80°, and master bedroom was even warmer. I've added this to the corner of my room and with a small amount of ingenuity getting the exhaust outside, our home is finally cool! During hottest part of day with setpoint of 67°, bedroom is 70°, and living quarters is 73°. Great product for a reasonable price. Highly recommend!
