It cools off a 500 sq. Ft. 1 bedroom apartment. Has many options to chose from. The swing mode works great. I have it set up in perfect place, so it can swing to kitchen when cooking and swing back to living and back to bedroom. It is not as noiser as older model air conditioner. The wheels are easy to roll around carpet and floors. 2 options to drain water when in dehumidifier mode. Child lock is an added bonus. Digital reading is big enough someone with bad eyesight to read. Remote control is easy to operate. I attach it to top of air conditioner with command strip, so I won't ever lose it. I chose this 10,000 BTU in-room AC unit to cool my practice room. It removes the obstruction caused by my former AC window unit, which blocked the narrow walking path outside. The unit is easy to operate and comes with a remote, which is helpful since it’s on the opposite side of the room from where I sit. It was easy to set up in about 30 minutes. You’ll need window insulation since the unit doesn’t come with any. The unit is impressively packed, and the cover lifts off easily and can be moved via the built-in wheels with ease. A high amount of heat travels through the collapsible exit tube, so the shorter the path between the AC unit and the window, the less heat will impede the cooling. The operational noise has a calming effect, and at the normal setting is fairly quiet. Overall, I can easily recommend this portable AC unit. ... show more

What a great portable air conditioner. I got this for my bedroom which is perfect for this room. It cools so great and the setup was easy. I am 66 yrs old a woman and did it all by myself. Of course, if I needed help, I would’ve asked my son-in-law but no need to because this was an easy thing to do. I love the remote control even though I have not used that yet, but it is convenient and overall a great portable air conditioner for anyone that needs to cool their room. I did use a 2.5 gallon basket to collect the water and it did get pretty high so I’m gonna have to get a bigger one. I’m not sure if it was just the humidity in the room or not but I would get a 5 gallon bucket which I’m going to purchase this weekend for like four dollars. My window as you can see is vertical and still it was very easy to set up. Yes I did use duct tape to ensure that there was no air coming in. I would recommend this as well. I give it a five star review because it is a perfect portable air conditioner if anyone is looking for one. ... show more
