This is exactly what you need if you have a family full of long hair like I do. It's long enough to get anything from the underside of the drain plug to the p-trap. Though some of you will likely just throw the whole mess out as soon as you've pulled back the disgusting hair ball it will provide you, it could still be re-used a few times. Considering you get 6 of them for < $8, you can't really go wrong. Though, depending on how long it's been since you've cleaned that hair out, I might recommend a clothespin for your nose...or...maybe a hazmat breathing mask. Oh, and rubber gloves. I had a small issue with these, unfortunately they were a bit big for the bathtub drain, and while trying to get the thing to go in, I almost cut myself, these things are SHARP!! That being said, once I got the part down the drain with the help of some pliers, they worked great and pulled all kinds of junk out of the drain!! ... show more

This purchase was a necessity! My main bathroom sink has been clogged forever and it’s driven us crazy. No amount of clog products, boiling water, vinegar or baking powder made any difference. I saw someone using something like this on their tub and thought it may help. Couldn’t hurt, right? It worked great! Pulled up the most disgusting stuff, I don’t even want to think about what all this gunk is. My only problem is that the device is hard to get OUT once you stuff it down there. In this case I had to yank it out hard, which broke or bent many of the spines that grab the hair and gunk, and sprayed my sink and vanity with smelly gunk. But this package came with 6! So I can sacrifice one to our biggest problem area. I don’t think it’s a design flaw…perhaps more of a small sink drain issue? I’d definitely recommend! Adding to my cleaning kit! ... show more

We have been using an old wire hanger for our drain augering needs. This seems safer and better...although perhaps less durable. We haven't really put it to the test yet but so far it's good.

    • Best Drain Clog Remover for Hair Balls!

Wow! I have a slow running bathroom sink drain that doesn't allow me to remove the drain stopper without detaching it from underneath the unit. I am also a senior who can no longer get down on the floor anymore let alone get up! LOL. So these little clog removers are the perfect solution for me. And they work amazingly fast and are easy for me to push down the drain around the tiny holes in the sides of the stopper. I pushed the entire length of one plastic tool to the bottom of the drain quickly and pulled it back up in two seconds. OMG! Hair ball city! The tool grabbed it all and brought it to the top in just two insertions. All I had to do was wipe all the gunk off onto a paper towel and dispose of it. I didn't even get my hands wet. With the 6 plastic tools provided I will have one for every drain. Now, on to the laundry tub drain! I can't wait to see what that one holds. ... show more

We got these because we have a German shepherd who we sometimes have to bathe in our bathtub and no matter how hard we try some of his hair always clogs the drain so we got these to help clean the drain instead of having to get something like draino every time which gets expensive and is not great to use a lot of. These worked with just one use you just push it down the drain then pull it out and it caught enough of the hair that our drain was draining like it should be and it only took a few more times to get almost all the hair out of the drain. ... show more

Easily unclogged a sink drain in just 2 minutes. These are simple to use, easy to clean and very inexpensive. The main thing that seems to cause clogs in most drains is hair, the hooks on this auger catch the hair and then allow you to easily pull it as well as everything caught in the hair out. These are not a miracle drain unclogger but will work for most sink/shower drain issues. And at just over a dollar each even if they only work for one use that's still cheaper than a plumber and easier than taking the drain apart to clean it. ... show more
