Overview: A small 11KW electric pool heater with a digital thermostat display that works fine once installed, but it requires hardwiring with no plug included. I have tried this pool heater a few times now and it seems to work fine once it's set up. The big thing to know going in is this needs to be hard wired, there's no plug, so you may want an electrician to install it according to the circuit instructions, no cables or plugs are included with it. It has a digital touch display where you set your target temperature, and it cycles on and off automatically to keep the water at that level, so you're not standing there babysitting it like some kind of pool lifeguard π. It's rated at 11KW for 220V and is meant for small pools up to around 1,000 gallons, so check your pool or spa size before buying. The heating element is "304 stainless steel" and is supposedly resistant to corrosion and UV damage over time. It also has overheat protection built in, which is a nice safety feature to have on something pulling this much power π₯. It appears to be made of high quality materials and feels solid for the price. Value is pretty good, just budget for the electrician cost since this isn't a plug and play setup.

Solid Electric Pool Heater That Works Well I recently added this 11KW electric pool heater to extend my swimming season. Setup required a 220V connection and basic plumbing, which took some time but was manageable for someone comfortable with home projects. Once running, it brought the water temperature up nicely β about 8β10 degrees in a reasonable amount of time for my pool size. The digital touch display is clear and easy to set the exact temperature I want. It maintains the water comfortably warm for evening swims without huge electricity spikes. Iβve used it regularly and it has been reliable so far. The build quality feels decent for the price point. Pros: β’ Heats water reasonably fast for an electric unit β’ Clear digital controls with good temperature accuracy β’ Energy efficient enough for regular use β’ Works well for above-ground and in-ground pools Cons: β’ not really a con, but Requires a dedicated 220V circuit (important to plan ahead) Final Thoughts: This is a practical electric pool heater that does a good job extending the usable season without the complexity or cost of a gas heater. If you have a medium-sized pool, decent electrical setup, and want straightforward temperature control, itβs a solid choice. Iβm happy with the performance so far and would consider it again for similar needs.

Fair warning that should be clear from the description - this is going to require some electrical knowledge or a professional to install. That wasn't really an issue for us, but even so it was kind of a pain in the but to follow the schematics for it and we were caught second guessing ourselves a few times even though we have a fair bit of experience with things like this. Once we had it installed it was fairly easy to set up and use and worked well. That said, it wasn't great for our purposes if I'm being honest. We have a steel frame above ground pool that doesn't have a deck and isn't close to the house, so figuring out the plumbing and electrical situation for this wasn't a great experience. I think this would have been better if our pool was closer to the house but with it being further in the yard it's not great.

The heating element can serve perfectly well for heating small pools or even spas and bathtubs. The display is clear, and I appreciate the fact that you can operate it according to your desired temperature settings. It's much better than the hassle of testing the water temperature all the time.Just know this is not a simple plug-in heater. It needs 220V wiring and should be installed by someone who knows electrical work. For the right setup, it does a nice job and makes the water much more comfortable.
