This is a nice little pond fountain / aerator, but like one reviewer stated, the motor torque has to be taken into consideration. They show it anchored to the bottom with cinder blocks. I recommend NOT doing this, as it makes servicing it in the future a living nightmare. My suggestion is to use the 4 anchor holes on the float and attach each one of them to a screw-in tent stakes (not a cheap skinny one you hammer in - a screw in) anchored into the shoreline of your pond. Then you can put some proper tension on the lines holding it in place, which helps manage the motor torque. If you want to follow their advice and use cinder blocks, that's up to you. But I promise, my way is better. Once you get it anchored correctly, you should find the motor torque is manageable and it actually works pretty well and looks really neat from the road. And it's supposed to be good for the pond, so there's that, too. 4 stars...it would be 5 stars if they included 4 screw-in tent stakes to anchor this properly.

When first installed the torque from the pump would capsize the entire fountain within a few seconds. To solve this problem I built a 2.5’ square frame using 3” pvc pipe and 90 degree elbows. I then used 2 ratchet straps to wrap around the frame and secure the fountain inside. Working well now. Hope this helps other buyers.

If you want a fountain in your pond, whether for aeration or just aesthetics, this is a great option! Not only is this pump system heavy-duty, its much easier to install than other designs. The 100 ft cord and the fact that it can be plugged into a 110V outlet makes it even simpler. I appreciate the 3 year warranty which provides some peace of mind in case you have unexpected issues. I believe this is a great system and I recommend it!

The float isn’t large enough to handle the torque from the motor. Meaning that fountain lists sideways no matter how you have the tie down points.
