This thing is a work horse. I would highly recommend this pump. I have a small pond where i use this and i have made some mistakes and beat this pump up and it is still going strong. on several occasions i have accidently run the pump with not enough water, the pump actually froze into the pond this winter it has also sucked in a ton of leaves and other debris. I didn't expect the pump to continue to work after the winter freeze but surprisingly it is still going. Comparable name brand pumps of the same size go for 10 times the price if you are in the market for a pond pump of this size give it a try for a fraction of the cost. ... show more

So far, so good. Poor rating on longevity made me have reservations about the pump. I installed this pump for a pondless waterfall. 30' long and 10' high. pumps the water well. It's not going to have 8200 GPH with a 2" by 30' run. 1 pressure head is if you layed a 1" diameter hose horizontal 10' in length, that's 1 pressure head. That said, it's not going to pump 8200 GPH with a 30" length and a 2" diameter hose. Still works well for my application ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I built a 30ft waterfall, used a 2inch flexible hose(it can go up to 2 1/2 inch). I can't hear this pump over my waterfall and my goodness, it pumps the crap out of the water. The waterfall is about 30ft long, 4 tiers with an extremely steep slope. Works better than I had hoped. I bought this pump the first time in 2002. It lasted until 2021 it, worked great then it started to shut off. IT kept tripping the breaker so I bought another one, same style same kind it lasted only 3 months it will would SLOW down and trip the breaker. Is there a way to fix it?

The pump handles 3 joining ponds. Total length of 60' with a waterfall head of 5'. I can't say the delivery rate is 8190 GPH because of my particular piping design and pipe resistance. As recommended, 2" pipe from pump flowing approx. 45' and 22 /1.375 diameter pipe with individual adjustable valves to select desired flow at each output location. I am ordering this again to assure the same great performance when it's life cycle ends, which does not appear to be near. ... show more

It arrived in its box but must have been bumped around. One of the legs were broke off and the vent screen was busted out. So I'm thinking its not going to be very sturdy. So far it pumps good though. So atleast it works.
