  • Looks good and great features/sound for the price
Style: 10" Subwoofer (XT10)
This sub is great for the price. Get it on black friday and save some money. Most of the equivalent subs of this size are 300+ bucks. A little misleading though, measuring from the edge of the rubber from one side to the other side of the speaker is about 8 inches not including the 1/4 in area for the screw holes. So to me this is more of a 8” sub and overall is the size of yamahas 8” sub. Not complaining though, i do like the more compact size as subs used to have huge heavy boxes in the past. This one says 23lbs so not bad overall. Its your typical black vinyl veneer look and comes with power cord and instructions. Basic controls are power switch, phase switch, volume, low pass filter and the lfe or stereo rca jack inputs. Most people will like the phase switch at 0 as it matches their other speakers phase, but i say try both ways and see what you like. Thats it and its simple and perfect for entry level sound systems. You will need a sub cable which is a single rca male to rca male. Im using it for my computer and have a douk ampapa 300w amp with upgraded muses 02 opamps and sony cs5s that i purchased a few black fridays ago at a great price. The ampapa amp has a mini 3.5 jack output and using the polk lfe rca input. The polk has an adjustable low band filter so will cross this sub over at about 80hz as to me thats the cleanest sounding xover point. Anyways, overall if you want a lower cost decent sound for your stereo or even computer or tv, this setup is great for a small to medium size room. Review for height monitor x190, got these on black friday as well. I have 6 wharfedale diamond bookshelfs and center with a sub for my main tv hooked up to my onkyo rz50. It has outs for atmos height so after reading reviews got this on black friday sales. Overall a very simple maybe 3 inch full range driver in an angled mdf box. It has a nice grayish color grill and speaker posts that accept wire or banana plugs so simple install. I need to se up my dirac live settings then will update review. Other then that. Speaker looks fine in quality but super simple design so get them on sale. ... show more

  • Allow For Break-In
Style: 12" Subwoofer (XT12)
I have been living with the XT12 for near two months. To break-in the unit, for the first two weeks I ran the sub at only a third of its volume, rolled off the LFE output by 3db, and kept overall receiver volume low. After that, and for another two weeks, the sub volume was raised to half while the LFE & receiver volume was still kept low. Then I opened up the LFE and volume, re-ran Audassey and viola, wonderfull low end for home theater and music playback. ... show more

  • A long journey for a loud(er) house
Style: Surround Speakers w/ 6.5" Woofer - Pair ...
So I am not an audiophile. I do like good sounding music though. And I am of the age that I remember simply epic amplifiers, speakers and stereos in just about everybody's houses. In my own house in the 80s and 90s, you could crank the music so loud and it would nearly deafen you, and that's with what my mom had bought at the local electronics store. Fast forward to today and we have nothing of that caliber. The soundbar is the closest thing to a home stereo system. AI assistants pump out OK sounding endless shuffles, vaguely in the direction you are feeling. So I made it my job to change that. I bought a decent turntable, a troubling amount of vinyl and an ... ok all-in-one amp+speaker system. I'm not going to name it, but it was lackluster to say the least. It got me yearning for that literal blast from the past. The boom of bass and that wall of sound. Did I find it in my XT20s? Yeah I did. It rocks. First, these things can get loud, good news there. They have larger woofers, 6.5" and they make noise. No, these aren't 12" subs on the floor like the old days, but on the other hand, they are lighter and look pretty cool. Setting it up? Well, pretty easy to attach speaker wire, but the road to here was long. You need an amp and preamp, turntable, these speakers. But my music sounds good again though; the house thumps. I put on music for the family like the old days. I'm very happy with the purchase. For those audiophiles who don't love just the "feels". I did do a lot of youtube research to find the best bang for the buck. I know there's other good brands out there, but let's just agree that this is one of them too. It's also super easy to find a sale and the are delivered quickly. I love the look and they make nice sounding noise. Easy recommend. ... show more

  • Incredible Value, Very Impressed!
Style: 10" Subwoofer (XT10)
One word, value. I have an SVS-1000 and I get similar bass quality from this Polk XT10. I’ve been very impressed with this sub. Fits perfectly under the desk, works perfect with my NXZT pc speakers. Excellent power, ease of setup, sound quality, range, durability, and looks modern and professional. Love Polk. My main living setup has been Polk for years now. You go Polk! ... show more

  • Good value for the money....especially when its on sale
Style: Surround Speakers w/ 6.5" Woofer - Pair ...
Nice speakers for a beginner like me.... So here is a little history of my audio experience..... Growing up i had logitech systems...x540, z5300e, z906. Eventually wanted to try a sound bar so got a JBL Bar500 with the 10 inch sub....It was good but honestly there is no replacing physical separated satellite speakers... I pulled the trigger on these speakers while it was on sale. Paired with my Denon s970h after calibration it works great! ... show more

  • Great value for the price.
Style: Surround Speakers w/ 6.5" Woofer - Pair ...
Great value for the money. I use them as the rear surround speakers in my 7.2.4 home theater and they work great. If they go back on sale for less than $200 I might pick up some more for side surrounds, and front and back Atmos speakers. They sound very good for sub $200 speakers

  • Great subwoofer for the price
Style: 10" Subwoofer (XT10)
Great subwoofer for the price, really underestimated it until I actually turned it on, still hits your chest even at lower volumes and at max you'll rattle your house

  • Top quality surround speakers
Style: Surround Speakers w/ 6.5" Woofer - Pair ...
These speakers have excellent sound quality. They are 12 pounds each, and I'm using them in a 7.2 setup as my mid surround speakers at ceiling level. Be sure to use all-metal mounting brackets.
