  • My only problem is, that I will never be able to max it out 😭
Style: 12" Subwoofer (XT12)
Legit amazing! 10/10 Price was perfect, would 100% buy again! 🥰 But warning for people who live in apartments, if you’re not careful someone is definitely going to complain. Unless your goal is to get people upset, then ignore this warning because this will work for that 😂 Also if you roll up like a foam soundproofing wall panel, and put it in the rear port (but not like fully blocking off the port though), it will make it a bit punchier. Not that it needs that to be done in anyway, but if you’re having this in a small room then doing that helps in ways that I can’t explain with words. It easily connected to my PC via optical output, which goes to an optical splitter. Then the optical branches off to my soundbar optical input and my GoXLR optical input. Then from the GoXLR I use the 3.5mm line out, converting to over to RCA into the subwoofer. This allows me to get perfect, easy and independent remote volume control of the subwoofer via the GoXLR sliders, while still having a master control on the PC that will adjust both the soundbar and subwoofer at the same time, resulting in perfectly fine tuned sound quality with absolutely no distortion. ... show more

  • Excellent for the price
Style: Surround Speakers w/ 5.25" Woofer - Pair...
I'm NOT an audiophile so please take this all with a grain of salt. But to me these speakers sound fantastic for the price. I paid $129 for a pair of "like new" speakers that actually appeared to be brand new. So that was nice. I've had them playing for two hours now and I'm very impressed. Surprisingly robust bass. If you live in a small apartment, or you're just not a total basshead, you don't need a sub. These things have a real kick! The sound is crisp and clear, I'm hearing dialogue that I've never heard before. Finally, the power. I'm using a STR DH790 and these things will go as loud as I could ever want. They fill up the room with beautiful noise. In short, for the price I think these are excellent. ... show more

  • Excellent speakers for ATMOS "If you know what you're doing".
Style: Hi-Res Height Speaker (XT90)
Excellent ATMOS speakers for the price. They can be mounted as Upfiring to reflect off of the ceiling; sitting on your towers, or wall mounted facing toward the main sitting area; as front height speakers. If you know what you're doing, these speakers will work for you and your ATMOS. If your ceiling is more than about 9 feet, upfiring speakers don't work well. Bouncing off of a ceiling takes some acoustical physics. But if your ceiling is less than 9 feet (like a basement theater room) then these can be a decent option. I actually use 3 sets of speakers for my atmost. These plus 2 other different brands. ALL 3 sets are up firing, but these polks sit on my towers, the other 2 pairs of speakers are mounted close to the ceiling on an entertainment wall unit. They still reflect off of the ceiling, but they are only inches away from the ceiling. (For those concerned, my receiver only has output for 1 pair of atmos speakers. My other 2 pair are 8 ohm speakers. I put them in parallel to give me 4 ohms; then these polks are 4 ohms so I put them in series with the other two that I've connected, and now I have 8 ohms again). Definitely worth buying if you have low ceiling OR if you're going to mount them at the wall/ceiling and point them down. ... show more

  • pricey but quite effective
Style: Slim Center Channel Speaker (XT35)
i had the energy 5.1 speakers. they did ok but i found myself constantly turning on closed-captions for clarity. energy was purchased to comply with a request - someone didn't want to see speakers in the family room. seems sacrilegious but fine. it's been well over a decade now and the lack of clarity was driving me nuts. in my opinion, centers don't have to work that hard especially, if the system includes a powered thumper. course, if you're a 'phile, you're likely throwin' up bout now. know that these comments ain't for you folks, k. i look for strong and clear audio from my center. this xt35, kills it! it's super pricey now but this center is the cat's meow! in fact, i bought it on a goof. i had just replaced the front surrounds with a pair of polks. it's embarrassing but they're behind a drape. same deal though, the energy's were a joke. these surrounds brought additional clarity and volume, i didn't think was possible. still, most of the dialog is channeled to the center. rarely use the captions now. full disclosure, none of these speakers were plucked off the vine. i'm out of pocket like most, if not all here. still, it's a very good buy! ... show more

  • Good Option for Stereo Speakers
Style: Surround Speakers w/ 6.5" Woofer - Pair ...
Got these speakers to replace some older bookshelf speakers in a vintage stereo system. I read a lot of reviews about current budget bookshelf speakers and settled on these for their solid base and effective high end. They have that and the midrange was better than expected. I don't normally crank them too high, but they are able to be played a bit loud and they hold true at all volumes that I've tried. I was surprised how warm they are too. They have a nice retro look to them and the build quality is very good. Particularly if you can pick them up on sale, these Polks are a nice option for stereo speakers. ... show more

  • Improved Sound
Style: Surround Speakers w/ 6.5" Woofer - Pair ...
I’m very happy with the sound of the XT20’s. I purchased a turntable with a built in amp with external speakers and wanted better sound and this worked out great. I have increased bass and treble. I was concerned if the low power amp built into the turntable would have enough power for these speakers but I actually have more volume than before. These speakers are brighter and have more low end than the stock speakers and it’s what I wanted since the amp in the turntable does not have bass or treble controls. Highly recommended these speakers. I added foam isolation pads under the speakers which I also purchased through Amazon. ... show more
