The media could not be loaded. Okay, I want to address some of what I read in other reviews after receiving this and assembling it myself. I read the following in previous reviews before ordering: 1. “Didn’t receive whole bed at one time.” This was also my experience. I received one FedEx tracking number from Amazon and had two tracking numbers in my FedEx app. Both boxes were shipped from the same address somewhere in Texas and to the same address here in Wilmington, NC. I received the first box on the date foretold by Amazon, which was on a Saturday when I wanted to assemble this. I looked in the FedEx app and saw the other box was in Dublin, VA. Why? Anyway, the second box arrived Tuesday. 2. “Bad manufacturing due to holes not being where they should be.” This is absolutely NOT true. If this happened, it’s because you assembled it incorrectly. Everything was as it was supposed to be. 3. “Didn’t have all the bolts. Had to go to the hardware store.” Not only did this have all the hardware necessary to assemble, I had exactly one extra of each bolt and nut, all of which came in a sealed blister pack. Again, if this happened, you assembled it incorrectly, putting the wrong clearly labeled fastener in the wrong place. 4. “Instructions were inadequate.” I found them to be just adequate enough. Everything was clearly shown via pictures and exploded view of which bolts went where. There was a page once you get to the loft bed that showed the wrong rail going on the wrong side of the assembly. However, it was obvious to me that this was the case and I found which fasteners to use for the correct rail on the following page and then went back for the next step. In other words, you just have to think a little about what you are doing. 5. “This took all day to assemble.” “Had to use my own tools.” After seeing these mentioned several times, I decided when I started that I was going to use the included tools rather than any of my own (except the screwdriver for attaching the wooden foot/headboard pieces to the metal because it didn’t come with one) and time myself to see just how long it would take. I started at 1:39pm. I walked away a few times to tend to laundry I was doing, and other brief interruptions, but just assembled this by myself and finished at 4:25pm. By my calculations, that comes to 2 hours 44 minutes. That really is not bad at all for a piece of this size and moderate complexity. 6. “Was scratched right out of the box.” This was also my experience. It’s not horrible and could be easily hidden with a sharpie. But if you’re looking for a perfect finish on a bed that will inevitably get scratched by the children who’ll use it every day, then this may not be the bed for you. As for me, I have plenty of sharpies around if I get bothered by it. In conclusion, if you pay attention, follow instructions, and think about the next step before you assemble each piece, this shouldn’t be problematic for anyone to assemble. It is surprisingly stable and the desk is perfect for holding both my 16” MacBook Pro as well as my HP 17” touchscreen laptop. I got this so that I can have my music room AND a bedroom for any or all of my five grandchildren to sleep over when they choose. This works beautifully for my purposes and I couldn’t be more pleased with this purchase.

I was pleasantly surprised by the nice quality of this bed for the great price! My older daughter is on the bottom and liked having plenty room, specifically headspace down there. Compared to a triple bunk that took 5 hours to build, this one was a breeze for my husband and he was only in there for a couple hours (with 3 little helpers) it probably wouldn’t have taken so long if I had helped in place of the kiddos but it was way easier that the other beds we have built. It fits our space perfectly and looks really nice. We haven’t had any issues with how tall it is, I was initially worried about my 5 year old but she can maneuver the ladder safely with no problems. The side rails are a little short so make sure you have a standard mattress without a pillow top or extra padded to be safer on the top bunks. Otherwise it’s a great sturdy bed!

The media could not be loaded. Totally love this bed for the price and space saver qualities. Perfect for a small to mid-size room in an apartment. Took 3.5 to 4 hrs to build. One page of the instructions had the pieces backward, but we easily figured it out. A little wobbly if you weigh more than 150lbs. Otherwise, perfect for kids. It's delivered in 2 separate packages, so keep a look out. Fits 8 inch to 10 inch thick twin mattresses, even tho the instructions recommend 8. Don't go over 10, tho, or your kids will fall out! Ha. It’s a great bed my boys love it and it’s prettier sturdy so that’s good, just make sure bolts are 100% tight and it doesn’t wobble or shake as much! Great bang for your buck!! Would buy again! Just might for my girls! (:

Larger then expected BUT a life saver for airbnbs or families living in 2x2 apartments with multiple children. Always a bed for everyone and a built in extra desk. Very well made. Sturdy and each bed was spacious. Worth the buy. Assembly was a little tough with all the pieces but doable, give yourself about 1.5 hours. Overall design is very functional and allows for unique placement in rooms.

I purchased this for my children. And the quality is trash. There were missing screws, extra holes and bend pieces. The paint is cheap and there are bare spots. I don’t see this lasting more than a few months.

My girls are sharing a room again and this was the perfect bunk bed and compromise so that my oldest feels like she’s getting independence or seniority ha. Full size bed with desk ( like she’s been wanting) and two twin bunks for younger sisters. We splurged on this one after searching so many and I’m so glad we did! I really like the orientation! Takes a couple of hours to assemble. Easier with a buddy but not impossible alone! I’m still married after assembling with my husband lol.
