I'm thrilled with the look and quality of this lamp. It arrived thoughtfully packaged and requiring a small amount of assembly. The lamp shape is in three pieces that come together easily with no tools. You velcro the flat shade into a circle and then clip in the top and bottom circular frames. It all went together with ease and feels very sturdy. The shade is gorgeous. I love the color and texture. It looks so high-end. It honestly looks more expensive than the other lamps in my livingroom that cost much more. The cord is long and can be fed back into the base so that it is not dangling (can be custom sized in terms of length). The ceramic base looks great. It has a mid-century modern vibe. The taupe part of the glaze has a very slightly yellow tone to it (not the main ivory glaze but the accent glaze). But when I stand back it looks just ivory and taupe, so even if you don't have yellowish tones in your surrounding decor, this should look fine. What I liked about this item: I loved the detail on the base. It’s simple but gives enough texture and design to elevate the lamp. I believe that the neutral color can go with almost any room. I bought it to place on top of my piano to add some light while I’m playing. I’ve had it for a few months now and it works great. I ordered this pair of lamps during the Prime sale and I’m so happy with them! I had ordered a similar pair of lamps from this manufacturer previously so I was familiar with the shade assembly. The lamps come well packaged in a box that appears too small to hold them!! You will have to screw in the light to the base and assemble the shade, but it’s so easy. The lamps are a really good size for a nightstand or a side table. The color and texture of the base and shade are just as pictured. They definitely have a high end appearance for the price (which is quite reasonable even if not on sale). I highly recommend these lamps, or any others by this manufacturer previously. ... show more

The quality for price of this lamp is amazing. I'd give it 4.75 stars! It feels substantial, great texture and color. Perfect size. I have 2 PB lamps in the adjacent room (3 or 4 times the price) - and I like this lamp as much. The only thing I'd criticize is that the little clips on the frame show through the shade. Easily replaced and I may do this later - but I'm not sure the casual observer would notice. Thoroughly recommend this lamp ... show more

What a nice surprise that two nice lamps fit in such a compact box! I was skeptical that they’d look anything like the photos in the ad, but we unboxed them anyway and quickly appreciated both the excellent packing and the nice design of these lamps. Easy to assemble in a few minutes. The shades are unlike any I have seen before in that the fabric is packed in such a way that it has no creases and simply clips onto the top and bottom frames. The beige and white looks nice in our room and provides good lighting on the nightstand. For the price, these are a great deal.
