  • Excellent Compressor For The Price
I bought this compressor to use for fine scale modeling. I had been using a small automotive style compressor with a 2 1/2 gallon tank. It was quite loud and seemed to run hot. I recently changed residence, and; the neighbors complained. So, I knew I had to do something different. This was the one I chose. My main concerns were noise and surging at the airbrush. The unit is very quiet and there is no surging of any kind. However, none of my airbrush hoses fitted up to the output at the compressor. I had anticipated this and ordered an airbrush fitting kit at the same time I ordered the compressor. I have a Vega 2000, a Richpen 112B, and an Iwata Eclipse 0.2mm. Although I only used one fitting out of the package, it was well worth the $7.00 or $8.00 I spent on it. The pressure adjustment at the water trap is very fine tuneable. You can set it at 20 bar (my usual setting) or anything you so desire. Just pull up on the knob. Counterclockwise is less pressure, clockwise is more. Then push down to lock. This is a quality unit, just with the caveat; that you probably need adapters to make you particular airbrush work. Hope this helps anybody on the fence. ... show more

  • Best deal around for this compressor.
This was an excellent price on a fine little compressor. I think there is only one manufacturer of all these minis. Bought my first one from Harbor Freight and it was broken in the box. It was very quiet but I returned it. This was $20 cheaper including the 3 yr insurance plan. Very quiet and will get up to a bit over 50psi though i run it around 15psi with airbrush. Cannot hear the compressor 15 feet away. Very pleased with this unit! ... show more

  • Turn off power in between.
This is my 2nd one. The 1st one lasted about 7yrs. Right at the last it would build up air while spraying then after a few seconds it would lose pressure then start again, then go off again and just continue this cycle. Maybe I let it run too long without turning it off in between painting and masking or something over the year’s. I won’t let it happen again with my new one. Work’s great. Good pressure and the auto shut-off is nice. Just be sure if you’re not going to use it for several minutes or longer, ( like switching paint color’s), turn it off. I think that’s what ruined my 1st one. ... show more

  • Quiet little compressor
Great little compressor. The pressure adjustment and noise level is good. In addition, the compressor self shuts off when the pressure is maintained and turns on an off as you draw pressure. It seems to have a small reservoir which allows it to maintain pressure as you start to shoot again. The only issue is the output fitting which is 1/8". I use a Paasche airbrush which uses a 1/4 inch. You need to go to HomeDepot and get a 1/8 Female to 1/4 Male and connect it to the compressor (1/4 in. MIP x 1/8 in. FIP Lead-Free Brass Pipe Hex Bushing). That fitting should be only $2.00 or so - which IMHO should come with the compressor. 1/8" is not a common size in the US. ... show more

  • I use it for haircuts
Enhancements are the name of the game these days. This compressor allows me to deliver my product solution with great efficiency. It's a bit powerful for those purposes but it allows for greater blend effects depending on how close or far away that I spray. Even on quiet days in the shop, I've never had anyone ask what the noise was from the compressor. If you're looking for a stationary compressor, look no further. It's easy & fail proof to use and I'm no artist. As far as quality and dependability, this is A1 thus far. ... show more

  • Great little compressor.
This small air compressor is very good. It's quiet enough that I do not feel like I would disturb the neighbors (I live in a building) and it's small enough to fit anywhere. It can and will shake off the desk (made of wood) but holds steady on my granite countertop. Just be sure to set it someplace safe as the suction cups do not work as you might expect. Test it out and be ready to catch it if it does the tango off your workspace. I use Paasche hose and airbrush, so an adapter was required from my hose to the compressor, but it works flawlessly! Please note that when you properly tighten the fitting/hose to the compressor with a wrench the pressure gauge will remain slightly tilted. This doesn't hinder the performance or airflow thus far. I love the on and off feature. It'll hold 50 PSI for about 15 minutes, kick on for about five seconds and then shut off again. It seems to hold up well. I do not run it constantly, as my work requires me to airbrush at relaxed intervals, so thus far I have not had any over-heating issues. If you find that the compressor doesn't hold pressure, be sure to check your hose is tightened and that the pressure gauge attached to the compressor is also tightened properly to prevent air leaks. In the future, I will definitely be upgrading to a compressor with a tank, but for now, this works well for my needs. ... show more

  • Runs beautifully
I was used to the little plastic compressor that came with my airbrush kit, and this just blows it out of the water. Compared to it, this compressor isn't quite as loud and can deliver a crazy amount of power at a high setting. I keep the pressure turned down to around the same level the old one put out (~15psi) just so it doesn't blow my model parts across the room. ... show more

  • Works great so far
Works great so far. Have used it about 20 times since purchasing it, with zero issues. Keeps consistent pressure and is fairly quiet as it can't be heard running with the door to the game/hobby room closed. I was using my 10 gal. Porter Cable pancake compressor until my wife convinced me to buy an airbrush mini compressor. Good inexpensive investment that I should have done a while ago. ... show more
