Updated: I was contacted by the seller and they certainly made it right. I am giving it 5 stars because of the value and the customer support. Remember not to get the wireless Apple Car Play model! Just plan on plugging it in and you’ll be satisfied:) I mean, for well under $100 you get a microphone, backup camera, head unit with CarPlay, and all the supporting wires. Can’t hate on that. As others have said: the instructions aren’t the best. But just Google your car and “double din install” and you will find all the guides you need. I’m rating it 3 stars because the Wireless Apple CarPlay doesn’t work. If I had got the wired version that was $10 cheaper, this would be a 5 star review. It’s a great value, it really is. I’ve installed one of these in my ‘97 Ranger and my sister’s ‘08 Mustang. The bluetooth and CarPlay work great as well as the backup camera. Sounds so much better than the old stock Ford low power radios. A word of caution, the manufacturer has included the wrong owner’s manual. The correct one should be LG-7-EW-001 (see attached photo). I contacted the seller and they e-mailed the correct one to me. The wiring diagram on the back of the unit IS correct so follow that one when hooking up the wiring. When hooking up the wiring, make sure you have the red wire going to a constant 12V source and the yellow wire to a wire that is only powered when the keys are in “accessory” or “run” position. If both of these wires don’t have power at the same time, the unit won’t turn on. Also, the Molex connectors haven’t been assembled well and some of the wires actually fell out of the back of the connector. I was able to bend the prongs out on the metal component on the end of the wire and then plug it back into the connector and it’s fine now. Make sure to check ALL of the wires going into the connectors so that you’re sure none of them are loose. I contacted the seller and they offered to send me a replacement harness which was really great but I was already able to fix the old one myself. If you have any problems, don’t hesitate to contact the seller Podofo. They were really responsive to me. For $50.00, not a bad stereo! Time will tell to see how long it lasts but so far I’m happy with it. 😊👍🏼 ... show more

Style: With Carplay Android Auto
4 month update: unit was working fine up until a few days ago. When I cranked up the truck the screen was white. I’ve disconnected battery and pulled back out checked all connections still won’t work. Disappointed at this point You can definitely tell it is cheaply made when you pull it out of the box, however it doesn't look cheap especially once installed. Touch screen is surprisingly well calibrated and responsive. Screen looks really good for the price of the unit. FM works pretty well, just make sure you're in the right zone or it won't pickup. Bluetooth works great as well. (Which surprised me.) Only issue has been the apple CarPlay. It worked great the first time I plugged my phone in, but after that I can't get a screen anymore. Plug it in, it acts like it connects and I get a grey screen with the square touch menu and that is all. I'm not sure why it worked once and now won't, but apple play was the main reason I bought it so I'm a little disappointed. All in all for the money it doesn't seem to be a bad unit but, at this point I would be leery about the apple play. Update: everything is now working well! Customer service reach out out promptly to help so big plus to their CS! I didn't actually use them, I fixed it on my own, but they were ready and willing to help. The problem I encountered I don't believe was a flaw of the the head unit. I think somewhere in the process of getting everything connected I confused the unit. This is the 2nd of these I bought. 1st point: If you are getting this for the Mirror feature on an Android phone look carefully it is unlikely this will work with your phone. 2nd point: It is clear this has FM radio, it DOES NOT have AM.. This disappointed when I bought my 1st one, but for the price I can live w/o AM radio. Other issues: It has 3 FM bands, you can store plenty of stations; be aware, if you hit the "autoscan" button it will write over ALL of you saved stations. The radio does NOT come with the necessary 5mm bolts needed to install it. These issues (and the loose part I discuss later) made me derate from 5 stars, but it does earn 4 stars based on: One of the features I considered a must have is a rotary dial for volume control (I'm old school and like this feature). The touchscreen is intuitive, and functions pretty well. That said it is almost impossible to use while driving.. the steering wheel remote works very well while driving, and for me is indispensable. The instructions ask you to test it first before installing it.. Cautioning it has "traveled a long way" This Is GREAT advice.. Before I hooked power to it I noticed a rattling sound ?? I opened it up and there was a loose metal piece, looks like a heat shield.. in the plastic bag there were 2 loose screws.. I put it all back together and all is fine the power on test is satisfactory. The unit is supposed to use the " factory" steering wheel buttons, I was not able to make this work, it is me, my trucks wiring or something else, who knows. anyway the unit comes with a steering wheel mounted remote.. it works great (just as it does on teh one I bought a year earlier in my other truck). The unit comes with a back-up camera, The one I installed on my other truck the B/U camera display works as it should.. I have yet to install the camera on this one. The seller sent me an email, offering support, with an additional (digital) installation manual.. As I implied above it comes with a PAPER instruction book. In summary: Would I buy it again.?. YES, I actually did It is a high end unit? NO, but at the price I bought the first one I considered it a bargain, a year later, when I saw Amazon had it on sale for 1/2 what I previously paid I bought another, for my "older" winter duty only truck. Even though I do not seek support, the seller offered. It DOES have good FM reception, plays any of my MP3 files from a micro SD "chippy" I installed, connects to my phone via bluetooth. ... show more
