The title says it all - I have a good friend who kept telling me I’d love having a hammock on my deck for relaxation. But I’m a big big gal and I wasn’t sure I’d find one to support me that would be a decent price, and decent quality. I also didn’t want to have to worry about hauling it somewhere every time the wind picked up. I am very pleased with this one! Not only did I put it together in about 15 minutes, but I’ve enjoyed it almost daily and haven’t had to tighten or re-adjust anything yet. My daughter (6 yrs old) also loves lying in it and she can get in and out without too much trouble. I’m sure I look ridiculous on the entry and exit, but it’s so comfy once I’m in it that I don’t care - plus I live in the country so nobody can see it except my family! It is lightweight enough for me or my daughter to pull it into the shady spots on our porch. It did get blown around a few times in thunderstorms, but it caused no damage to anything and it didn’t receive damage, either. I have pulled the hammock off in the rain so far - but twice it was already soaking wet by the time I got it, and it dried without any issues. Two thumbs way up, and I’d recommend this to anyone looking to chill out and relax in comfort. I can’t wait for fall so I can have some blankies in here with me!!!! ... show more

So it came in today, and I couldn’t wait to use it. It was a rainy day outside, so I decided it was a sign, and the perfect moment to give this thing a test run indoors. After putting the stand together attaching my hammock and an estimated hour afternoon nap, I woke up and I am fully energized to write my review. I couldn’t be happier. It’s well made, sturdy, and adjustable for the hammock length your using. I currently have a Wise Owl Single Owl Hammock, the information the hammock came with says it’s 9’ long by 4’ 6 inches wide. Easy to assemble, and take apart for storage. The stand I received had instructions (one reviewer said theirs didn’t come with the instructions), even though I just watched the video from the reviewer on how to assemble (they should pay her). Another reviewer said the storage bag was a little small and it was a little bit of work getting it back into its bag. I guess they listened because the storage bag I received with the stand is big enough to easily put everything away once you break it down, and it had enough room for my nylon hammock to go in there as well, with room to spare. The hammock I received 2 Fathers Day ago with no where to hang it. Now I have the stand. Two years in the making of the perfect Father’s Day gift. ... show more

This Hamic is good I only gave it four stars because I had a Hammock that had the bar that goes across and keeps the Hamic open and for me that’s the best Hamic to get but I chose this Hamic because it’s easy to travel with. I had to give up my old hammock because I couldn’t transport it after the moving people forgot it. If traveling is not your issue, I would go for the other kind of hammock that has the bar going across and keeps the Hammock open. If you lay in this, it wraps you in like a tortilla. So I sit on it. Also, when I was looking at which Hamic to get, I noticed some reviews had issues with trying to get it past the second hole. Mine is at the third hole. I got it that way by putting it on one side and then string by string, flipping it over the top piece, eventually all the strings are in place and it’s really tight and high off the ground. Also, I don’t leave the material out or use it and then take it off and put it back on when I use it again so I haven’t had any issues with the Hammock material itself. Again, if traveling is not your issue, I would go with the hammock that has the long bar going across and keeps it open at all times, and the rope kind my old one lasted for years and years. ... show more

I bought this to string up a camping hammock since we were taking more people camping than our tent camper is supposed to sleep. I was concerned that there wouldn't be trees at the KOA since sometimes they are more like a parking lot than a campground. Turns out there were plenty of trees so we got to enjoy the hammock as a place to relax at the campsite instead of someone's bed. It definitely works for 2 people and dries out for the rain pretty quickly. We did find we had to adjust the hook placement throughout the trip as the fibers stretched, but it was really easy. The travel bag did not claim to be waterproof and we were sad to discover that it really wasn't when we encountered heavy rain with it tied to the tongue of the trailer. Not a drawback but a disappointment that we couldn't enjoy it right away after arriving and setting up at our next camping site. ... show more

I was a bit leery of this hammock due to some of the reviews I read. However, upon receipt and using it, I love it. I haven’t moved it around a lot unless dragging it to another part of the yard to mow around it and I have been taking the fabric in when it rains but it’s very comfortable and so far durable. I have problems with both knees so figuring out how to get out of it was a bit of struggle until I realized I could straddle it and use the cloth to pull myself instead of picking myself off the ground after purposefully falling out of it. I like how I didn't have to use any tools that weren't already included in the packaging. Me and my boyfriend laid on this hammock together for a good 10 minutes, moving to get comfortable and it didn't bend or break. I've had this hammock for about 2 months now and it is still standing. It withstood the many storms, and rainfall I get in the Midwest and there hasn't been any rusting or foul smells coming from the blanket. Also, it never has spiders on it when I go to use it, but I do recommend shaking the cover vigorously before sitting down to enjoy. ... show more

I got this in April for my birthday. I have had it in my livingroom in front of the AC on hot days. I have taken to the desert star gazing and slept in it insted of a tent. Have gone fishing in it on the edge of a river. It is so easy to pack up and take with you it's the best thing I own. It's so comfortable and I'm so happy this exsisit.
