My senior dog was on the original Antinol last year and it did wonders for her. No more limping or struggling to get up from the floor. She was even running around pain free. However the manufacturer and distributor for Antinol was changed recently, as well as the formula and name. With the formula change came issues for my dog. She’s been on the new Antinol for over a month and has gotten worse. Limping is back and she’s struggling to get up from the floor. She’s even become lethargic and refuses to eat her food. Seems like the new formula is to blame since nothing else in her diet has changed. Absolutely disappointed in the change to the product that once was a miracle worker for my dog.

This is a must-have for anyone with large dogs, and especially senior dogs. I started giving Antinol to my 12 year old yellow lab, Bauer on the advice of a vet who specializes in rehabilitation when I was considering putting him down. He was having real trouble getting up off the ground, couldn’t climb up into bed anymore, and was sore and stiff all the time. I wish I had started sooner — 2 weeks later he was jumping up into bed and back to taking short walks. 2 weeks after that it was like when Dorothy oiled up the Tin Man in The Wizard of Oz and he goes from not being able to move to dancing down the Yellow Brick Road. We would go on walks every day and to swim therapy every Saturday. Swimming would get the weight off his joints and give him full range of motion in his hips. He LOVED to swim. Towards the end he needed an inflatable collar to keep his nose above the surface, but his legs would still be kicking away. That was our routine every week for another 2 YEARS until he passed. My wife and I call that “bonus time.” Now my 4 year old golden and 6 month old yellow lab both supplement daily with Antinol Plus. Usually we pop it into their food and they inhale it with their morning breakfast. Alternatively they really enjoy licking them off a spoonful of peanut butter. I recommend Antinol Plus to anyone with a dog - especially a large dog - to get ahead of joint issues and give them as much high quality bonus time in their golden years as possible. PS: Don’t go cheap with Glucosamine and Chondroitin chews — they do NOTHING (seriously, Google “clinical trials on glucosamine and chondroitin for dogs”). Short of prescription anti inflammatories and pain pills, this is the only natural supplement that I saw have any effect, and like I said, it was dramatic. Highly recommended.

I wanted this to help but did not for my 10 year old Labrador. And my daughter bought for her Boerboel mastiff . Both dogs reacted with a crazy itchy rash on the underside. Resulting in a vet visit. My lab had sores and hot spots from licking his skin some much. Hope it works for other breeds but not our. Sadly.
