I do like this bench. However it was hard for a 75 year old woman to put it together by myself. It took two days, but I got it together. I am thinking of buying another one.

purchased 2 years ago, and the seat weld did not hold, was able to gorilla glue and clamp, chair still functions like new !!! my pomeranain and I love sitting on it reading in Tucson

Just see the picture and let your eyes decide. It's a beautiful piece. I have situated it under the overhang where it's protected from rain and harsh sunlight. I feels solid as well.

This bench was easy to put together put two people would be needed. It is very sturdy and lovely.

    • Lightweight compared to description, but still a descent value
The description says cast and tubular iron. In reality it is a rolled steel bench with a cast iron back ornamentation Much lighter duty than a cast iron bench would be. That said it is attractive and not too hard to assemble. Second person required to stabilize back to screw in fasteners on each side. I do not think one person can do it. But with an assistant it assembled in about 30 min. Packaging was overall good and protected major parts. The hardware bag was opened and my screws, lock washers and nuts were throughout the broken Styrofoam padding and large pieces. Directions one sheet of paper with a picture, no details for instructions to help know which parts to assemble first. All but one lock washer was able to be located. I therefore had to use a lock washer I already had. Assembly complete, the bench is stable and as comfortable as a metal bench can be. The coating appears reasonably good quality and in the desert should provide years of service. For the price I am satisfied, I would give it 5 stars had the description been more honest. ... show more
