The Best Headset Ever
Style: Single
I recently had to switch from this Plantronics headset to a Logitech h800 because of going from a VOIP phone to Google Voice. It was tough to do it, but it had to be done. This headset is by far the best double eared headset that I've used in my over seven years of Sales. Not only is it cushy and comfortable on your ears, but the quality is crystal clear. I also work at home and have hardwood floors so I usually echo, but this headset keeps the echo down to a minimum. It's also easy to mute and un mute while walking around. The range is unbelievable. I would go out to my mailbox to get the mail, go to my kitchen, walk down in the basement and even go in my backyard over 100 feet away from my receiver and never lost signal. If you're using an office phone or work from home with a VOIP phone hands down this is the headset to get. Pros Comfort Easy to mute and un mute Mouthpiece never gets in the way Charging receiver is easy and keeps the headset out of the way Talk time is super long The Range is unbelievable Cons Not being able to use if for Google Voice on my laptop Update: Per Mark Stewart's comment below it looks like there is an option for anyone that wants to use google voice, skype, etc. with this headset. It's the ZoomSwitch Headset Accessory and is available on Amazon. Also, I couldn't take not using this headset anymore so at the beginning of the year I got an office phone, plugged it into my router and presto, got to use the headset again. ... show more

Great Headset
Style: Single
I have been in and out of call centers for most of the last 20 yrs so I have quite a bit of experience with both corded and wireless headsets. I bought this after moving my work home and it was a great decision, in part based on the brand. Distance is the biggest plus - I can walk through my whole house and never lose signal or the ability to mute. Also, the controls on the headset are very convenient and easy to use. Quality is good to excellent, with a bendable mic. Finally, this will go all day with constant use, go on the charger and re-charge in less than 30 mins. One "dislike" is the the way it sits on the charger is a bit awkward especially if you have the headset fully extended. This isn't an issue if you have a smaller head. ... show more

This is the headset you are looking for
Style: Single
I grew up managing the family survey research firm, so I have used a lot of headsets. However, I have not been as happy with any of them, as I am with this one. The sound is astonishingly good, the noise cancellation is excellent. In my law office no one on the phone hears when my assistant comes into my office to tell me something. Noise cancellation is super important in a headset because a headset, is not a phone, it allows you to move around freely and talk without having to hold something up. The downside is that as you roam and talk, the person you are talking to can hear everything around you, unless you have noise cancellation, and the noise cancellation on this unit is amazing. I cannot stress how much of an advantage it is to have the headset binaural. I have been singing the praises of binaural headsets since I was a kid supervising survey research. hearing someone in both ears is a huge advantage with a telephone headset, because you use a telephone headset so you free your hands to do other things, and that means you are making noise. If you are making noise, it is less likely you miss something with sound coming in both ears, rather than one ear. The sound quality both incoming and outgoing are amazing. I have gotten zero complaints that someone cannot hear me, and I can always hear them, it is a perfect setup with the phone lifter. I am a lawyer who thought speaker phone was sufficient to free my hands, and I did not need one of these, because my survey research days were done. I was wrong. Speakerphone, no matter how expensive and good, does not sound like you are giving the client the priority that a regular phone makes it sound like you are. This headset sounds better than picking up the receiver, and my clients are all happy because they are not straining with a speaker phone, which also picks up every sound in the office, like typing notes as to what they are saying, or fiddling around with stuff on my desk, or pulling files. ... show more

Great product - but I wish they slip open a bit wider.
Style: Single
I am not in a call center, but work for a global company and spend a lot of time on conference calls. I needed a headset that: * Wireless (I tend to walk & talk) * Audio in both ears (as one-ear headsets let me hear too much noise around me) * Great audio The CS520 met those requirements, so I got them. The set up took some tweaking (I had some echo that took a bit to get the settings right), but now they work great. People say i come across clear; I hear everyone great. They do just what they advertise. Charge lasts a long time, as well. ONLY CONCERN: Maybe my head is to big, but they don't truly open wide enough to get both ears in the right spot. Fully-open, it's still a a stretch for me. ... show more

Excellent Wireless Headset
Style: Single
Review of: "Plantronics CS520 Binaural Wireless Headset System." The Plantronics CS520 is an excellent headset. The manufacturer specifications include: "Hands-free up to 350 feet; 1-touch call answer/end; volume increase or decrease; mute & flash controls; Energy efficient adaptive power system optimizes for range & talk time; Conference in up to 3 additional CS500 or Savi headsets for enhanced collaboration; New headsets can subscribe to base by simply docking the headset." This headset is light and the boom mic does not get in the way as it is adjustable. The range is incredible at +/- 350 feet. The system sets up very easily and is controlled from the headset. Run time is approximately 10 hours per charge. If allowed to charge for 30 minutes in that time period the run time can be extended by a few more hours. To go wireless this headset is worth the price. Well done at five stars. ... show more

15% Restocking Fee
Style: Single
Product may be OK, but make sure it works with your phone before purchasing or you will be paying a hefty restocking fee of 15%. You will need to go to Plantronics website to find out if it works with you phone you will not be able to determine this from the information provided on the Amazon product page. The is my first experience shopping at Amazon where the practice of charging this fee is applied. They do state that this is the case, but you will need to read the fine print in their policies - it is not stated on the product page. This practice of charging a restocking fee is no longer allowed in most states unless the customer is informed prior to purchasing without needed to read the fine print. This is the first time I have experienced a restocking fee at Amazon and I hope that they address this issue with the vendor or take them off thei site. ... show more

Changed my worklife! Great for movement. But can be painful if you wear glasses.
Style: Single
I work from home full time on the computer and this has made my life so much healthier by not being so tethered to my desk. I can walk around and stay connected with multiple cell phones and my computer. I've had a couple odd things happen where it randomly drops, but it's not terrible. The range isn't great all the way down to my kitchen, but it doesn't matter b/c I can take my cell with me and stay connected. I stretch more and can wash dishes or do laundry while on some calls, and quickly unmute/mute. It reminds me I'm on mute when I try to start talking. The battery life is long, and I recommend getting the stand. It does hurt my head when I'm wearing glasses and the pressure for hours on end hurts. This is the ONLY one I could find with a decent mute function and all the bells and whistles I need. I like the comfort of the ear pads and headpad and quality of sound. ... show more

Nice Headset
Style: Single
I have had a Plantronics CS55 headset for almost 8 years and it has been very reliable and extremely comfortable to wear for hours on end. The battery was not lasting as log as it used to so I decided to get the new CS520 which has the added advantage of dual ear pieces. Sound is excellent and they even improved the design a bit. The old ones had a very tiny volume control which you has to push in if you wanted to mute the michrophone. The new CS520 has a much larger and easy to use volume control and the mute is located on the bottom of the ear piece. very comfortable and I am looking forward to 8 more years af great service from my new Plantronics. ... show more
