I have been using this product for years and I love it. I used to dread flossing because I would use the string style that you had to wrap around your fingers. I floss my teeth every day. I don't want to imagine a world that doesn't have dental floss and the ability to pull out all the chunks of food that get stuck between my teeth! I still remember my dentist telling me, "Oh, I see you've started to floss your teeth. Good job!" I said, "You can tell that?" He replied, "Oh yes, it's as clear as day." That impressed me and kept me in the practice until I now have an unbreakable (thankfully) habit. In any case, you're interested in how well these work. Very well! The floss is strong and slips between my teeth easily. I have lots of cavities (from pre-floss days and some since), so there are a lot of ragged edges of fillings to catch the floss. Even so, I am able to completely floss with one of these Plackers without it breaking (ever). These Plackers have a built-in toothpick option as well. I have used other versions of similar products that also have a toothpick option, but it is uncovered on the end of the tool. That means that when you have one in a pocket you can easily stab yourself with it. In the Plackers, the toothpick is imbedded in the handle in a safe way - to use it you have to rotate it out from the body in order to free the point. Good thinking!
