The SUNLU PLA 3D Printer Filament is excellent quality. It feeds smoothly through my printer without any jams and the prints come out clean with consistent layers. The colors are vibrant and exactly as described. I’ve used it for several projects, and it’s proven to be strong and durable. The spool is also well-packaged to prevent moisture, which is a big plus. Been using this stuff as long as I’ve been printing. Used it to make this sword for my Magik cosplay and it’s held up all day at two conventions so far.

I bought this product for my nephew for his very first printer. I had such great prints from the filament I thought this would be the perfect filament for him just starting out.

I will never buy Sunlu filament again. I had a print in black which was to take 20 hours. It was printing for 10 hours and then the filament jammed on the spool spoiling the print. Frustration!!!, waste of time and money. I couldn't sit and watch it all the time!, it seemed to be printing ok until I checked the last time.:( It was too late to save the print. the fault was not my printer. the filament wasn't wound smoothly onto the reel. It was jammed into itself and couldn't keep on feeding. This was the second time as I had a gray spool which jammed up too from being badly wound onto the spool. I was able save my work that time but wasted alot of filament. Maybe one bad spool but for it to happen twice its not worth taking the risk to get half way on a long print and then have it spoilt. Sorry Sunlu but too risky to buy your filament. When it printed, the end result was good. So if you are able to watch all the time....you would probably be pleased with this filament.

Sunlu seems to be hit or miss with printability. Yes I dried it, yes I followed all directions and calibrated. I'm not even 1/3rd the way through the black and it appears to be jammed on the sides up against the spool... one print failed because it refused to feed. Almost afraid to open the white.

I often hear rumors that this brand is what Bambu Labs respools onto their own. The saturation of this brand is great, although sometimes the lighter color saturations let you see some layers beneath. As far as I've used (which is most of their selection now) I haven't had any poor spools, over-wet spools, unwound spools, or anything similar. Seems like it holds less moisture over time than other brands, but that could just be me becoming a fanboy of Sunlu slower over time. Decent price too!
