  • Best pizza is woodfired
The best pizza you will ever have is woodfired. Do not come after me, it is just a fact.

  • Nice but pricey
Nice, uniform pieces of high quality and clean burning hardwood but it is expensive. It’s perfect for smaller fire pits and ovens. Dry and ready to burn right out of the box - it lites fast and burns evenly and well. Good to have on hand for those times you don’t feel like doing some of the prep work yourself, not something I’d allow myself to spend extra money on regularly. ... show more

  • First timer
First timer using wood in a grill. I know many people have difficulties and you need certain type of wood etc. I seen this and ordered it. Was about to make my fire correct the firs time. This wood because of the type and how its dried burn for a while and is easy to start. A perfect solution for my pizza oven and I will be ordering more. I do use the wood for a good fire but i use a nice base of lump charcoal and its the perfect long burning, high heat option for my perfect pizzas ... show more

  • Perfect for starting chiminea
I baton these into smaller kindling, and use them to start up my chiminea. Once a nice hardwood bundle gets going, the fire is easy to keep going. These small barkless pieces are perfect for someone that doesn’t want to do the wood sourcing or prep work. Quality product

  • Great wood, nice and dry, great for Ooni pizza oven as well as solo stove; but a bit too pricey
These “Pizza Oven Wood - Kiln-Dried Oak Wood for Pizza Ovens, 6-Inch Barkless Logs, Ideal for Ooni, Gozney, Solo Stove, and Other Wood-Fired Pizza Ovens, Grills, and Smokers - Approx. 12 lbs” are great wood, nice and dry, starting them is a bliss, nicely cut to perfect size; I used them in my Ooni wood-fired pizza oven as well as my solo stove mesa, and these works wonderfully. The pizza comes out fantastically, smelt and tasted like Italy (the right way to make pizza). Unfortunately, these are a bit pricey for what it is - 12lbs of wood, for $40; don’t last too long. I really want to give these a 4 star, but they are just too expensive to love (I do understand it probably costs a lot to ship these kinds of items). Thank you for reading this review, I hope that this review is helpful to you in support of your purchase decision. ... show more

  • Perfectly dry wood with no bark - perfect for small tabletop fire pits
Finding the right size wood for my small fire pits can be challenging. This box of "pizza oven wood" is great for pizza ovens, I'm sure, but it's also ideal for small fire pits, such as the 6" and 7" ones I have. The wood is super seasoned being kiln dried, so starting the fire is easy. The wood burns hot and fast, allowing a quicker secondary burn which in turn kicks in the smokeless features of these stove. I will say it's pretty expensive to buy small "logs" of wood, such as this box, but the convenience factor is worth plenty. With that in mind, it's not such a bad deal, especially considering I don't have to grab an axe and chop regular firewood to size. Priceless! ... show more

  • Pricey, but really nice
I'll begin by saying that, under normal circumstances, I would just buy bulk oak splits from a regular firewood processor to use in a pizza oven or a smoker. That said, sometimes a live fire is part of the show, and my event this weekend was such a time. We had a luau where we were roasting some of the meat and pineapple right in the middle of the serving area, as part of the display for the guests. For that sort of cooking, you want everything, including the cooking wood, to look really nice, clean and professional. And these little mini splits are REALLY nice. And that's definitely reflected in the price. I have to ding them one star for that, because I honestly couldn't afford to be paying upwards of $3/pound for my firewood for every bbq, luau or other cookout. But that said, if you're cooking in plain view of your guests, as part of the presentation, and you want it to look absolutely on-point, give this firewood a try. It looks sharp, burns long and hot, and is very high quality. It will definitely look a LOT more composed than just tossing a couple of rough split logs or chunks on the fire. ... show more
