Stainless steel pot. Beware other products that use "stainless steel" in the description, but actually refer to burner parts, not the pot. The burner is dual flame. The stand appears strong. I may be picky, but an extra 1/16 " thicker metal would be heavier but more promising for longer life. I was hoping that the lower basket handle would position to hold the basket up for draining. It is only a handle. However, I found that inserting the skimmer handle through the lower basket handle accomplishes the same thing. The heat plate is flimsy, but functional. I really liked that the burner assembly screws were all the same size. No trying to match up the correct ones. They are all the same. Very quick burner assembly. ... show more

Pretty well built and a good value, just realize that while it may be a 60 QT pot, the basket is only 50qt. This was mostly my fault for not realizing that 1/6 of the capacity is, essentially, unusable. By the time you reduce the water to a lavel that won't go over the basket and lose food down the side, a 60qt pot is 45qt of actual capacity. Likely 30 QT of water and 15qt of food. My plan is to cut off the bottom of the basket and add a 4" strip of stainless steel to bring the top of the basket to the top of the pot. All in all, the burner stand is decent thickness, no wobbles, and I'm please with it for the money. Just be aware that you may want to go a size or two up from what you actually need. ... show more

Study, well built, good flame, and stainless steel. Worked very well for a low country boil. We got the 60qt size and did 10lbs taters, 5lbs sausage, 6lbs shrimp, 3lbs of corn. It filled the strainer basket but it cooked very well. Cant say enough good things. Excellent for the price.

Everything is heavy duty stainless steel, Stand is heavy duty steel construction. Even came with a thermometer which was not included in the listing. Haven’t used yet but can’t wait to give it a try.

It met my needs and is as described so maybe this was just a purchasing size mistake on my behalf! If you do need an outdoor HUGE cooking pot like this though, go for it!
