Build quality and size are perfect on this reel. I was surprised at how nice the reel is and I like the black finish. It is super smooth and the drag feels great. We will see how long it holds up but looks like a quality product. Great value.

Best UL reel on the market (1000sz).

Smooth, great drag, light weight and perfect for UL fishing. I bought the 1000 size and it’s a dream to cast. For some reason this reel and the carbon XT cast further than all my other spinning reels. Not sure why but the way the line lays or something gets me extra distance that my other reels won’t. That being said don’t get the XT, this one is much better. The XT has lots of start up resistance and while reeling it in there is even more resistance. The carbon x 2 is the better reel out of the carbon series. Pass on the original and the new XT trust me. Will definitely be buying more of these, highly recommend.

Works really great! I paired it with an Ugly Stik GX2 Rod and use it mainly for trout fishing. Super smooth and lightweight, but still feels strong and solid. Definitely a good reel for the price.

Update: The company refunded my money a few days after my review. A great company to work with. I will be buying another one right away because I really liked the reel! I bought the 3000 piscifun carbon x II 25 July 2025, loved this reel until last weekend while reeling in a nice trout the reverse lock stopped working. And of course I’ve tried to message piscifun but haven’t gotten any response yet. I’m hopeful someone will get back to me because the reel was a pleasure to use until this problem

Great reel for the money, and competes well with much higher priced reels like Daiwa and Shimano. It's not as refined and the higher end big names, but beats the pants off their super-budget reels. Lightweight, nice drag, looks great on just about any rod and it feels good in the hand.
